Actually, it's way in the negative numbers, and it's getting worse. If the man doesn't stop asking me for money for someone or other's '06 campaign, I'm going to have to look for a second job.

3. LOL! 0.00 here too?
Why is someone saying we should be paid for supporting Senator Kerry?

Hehe...I'm so used to SENDING him money that this is very funny.

28. Notta. Not even Minimum Wage. Yet we get endless emails from Dems
(JK included) begging for more and more money for candidates.

Actually, I didn't mind volunteering for JK's campaign, but IF I do it again...I do NOT expect my Candidate to 'roll-over' BEFORE an extensive investigation of E.F. I would also expect my salary-free volunteering to include a promise from said Candidate that even when high-profile people such as Conyers, Boxer, RFK, Jr. compile and present REAL, extensive evidence of E.F., that said Candidate does NOT persist in saying "no real proof" (of E.F.) exists...that "everything done was "LEGAL?!"(JK quote from "Stephanie Miller" show).

I truly admire and support JK, would vote for him again...but when the other side's "numbers" are as far down as they are now, and when even moderate Repugs don't like their Candidate of choice, OUR Candidate (who we worked for salary-free) needs to take THIS opportunity to step-up-to-the-plate, and "SPEAK TRUTH TO AUTHORITY"...finally. (Like he did before the Senate in '71.

If not NOW...WHEN?

Yep, once you deduct expenses, even if we don't count campaign donations, I'm pretty far into negative territory.

6. That old canard, rotflmao
Who is saying that?? We used to get trolls on the Kerry blog that said we were all paid staffers. Yeah right, I'm in the limo right now, typing on my laptop headed back to DC after spending the past week in Boston at my penthouse suite. So funny. Salary? Big Fat Zero. Loss to my personal business?? Egads, I don't even like to think about it.

Motherfuckers. Kapow. Right in the kisser.

13. Not only that,
he and Teresa gave me a ride on the company jet and we landed on the Heinz field 50 yard line.
Then they dropped me off at the Steelworkers building so I could do some phone banking.
That was fun!!!

Speaking of which they're one of my favorite unions. Numero Uno is always United Mine Workers.

16. Sunday mornings.
I went to mass across the street wearing my Kerry t-shirt and then over to the Steelworkers to phone bank.
And I paid for parking. And gas. And the t-shirt.

Except that one time on the jet, of course. JK's quite a pilot, landing that thing between Sixth and Stanwix St the way he did. I told them I was more than happy to just hop in the limo and ride the couple blocks from Heinz field (where I was presented with season tickets, BTW), but they insisted.
Whatta ya gonna do? Can't tell the boss no.

Since I read it wsa a Pittsburgh church where he got communion. I think I heard someone say that he spends a lot of time there and in Massachuetts so who knows when I go up your way I may see Kerry.

20. Ahm, well, let me tote up the money
Ahm, geez, I seem to be in the red here. I have given them money. (But Teresa did buy me a beer or 3 last Dec, so there is that.)

Geez, you mean noody here, not a single friggin soul, is drawing so much as a dollar off of all our efforts? Damn, we must be doing it for those elusive 'other reasons' like, oh, I don't know, caring and committment and belief. (Wonderful stuff, but you can't use them to pay for groceries at the store, alas and alack.)

Tickets to Birthday Party with The Senator: $100
Books and research materials and contributions for endorsed candidates: $100's
Cost of internet connection and time spent on line: $100's

Knowledge that we want to support someone who can restore America to sanity: priceless.

Paid shills my arse. You can't buy love you know, (though you can sometimes rent it, but it usually doesn't work out.)

you have to wonder. One thread in particular is based in half-truths, quotes out of context, and plain made up stuff. In otherwords, good ole right wing argumentative strategy.

23. -$2,168.00
Yes, friends, I actually spent that much of my own money to register voters, register some more voters, register even more voters after that, canvass, canvass, canvass, promote awareness about the election in my city and three surrounding cities, phonebank, distribute literature, buttons and stickers, and generally support my little heart out. Not paid one red cent for any of that. Provided my own funding (which was half my net worth at the time). And I feel good about that.

Why are the non-Kerry supporting people on this site such assholes?

25. Same here $0
I've also contributed but in fairness - he did give us all something - faith that there was someone who could deal with the mess the country is in and a great role model for dealing with unfairnesses that happen in life. Having a leader I can trust, in spite of the occasion mistake he will make because he is human. That's priceless.

26. Sorry I'm late chiming in on this
I was trying to find all of th check stubs from the checks that I've received from John Kerry over the past couple of years (personally signed, no less). Damn, I know they must be around here somewhere. I'll have to keep searching.

For the benefit of any lurkers, that was :sarcasm:.
