What I posted above is just the fortune cookie interpretation of T'ung Jen. This was generated as a quickie online reading and was posted for amusement only. If you want deeper meaning, you need to study I Ching.
T'ung Jen is the hexagram response to the question. There is a random act to I Ching, similar to throwing dice. The random aspect is supposed to be the way you connect with the spirit world in order to start a dialog about a situation or an issue. I'm not very good at explaining it, so if there are any experts here, please join in.
I use I Ching as a meditation tool to enhance creativity and positive thinking.
What amused me is that the question brought up this hexagram, T'ung Jen Concording People (Fellowship with Men). The assessment of the present situation was "The union of men appears here in the
remote districts of the country, indicating progress and success. It will be advantageous to cross the great stream. It will be advantageous to maintain the firm correctness of the superior man." This seems pretty straight forward. The hexagram is about creating harmony with others and our favorite senator has indeed been visiting remote (to a MA Senator) districts of the country to create this harmony. Crossing the great stream means keeping centered with the flow of time (he makes good use of his time). And he always maintains the "firm correctness of the superior man."
Change is not seen in the immediate future, so the status quo will remain (per the question, the bitching and complaining over the "stolen election") for the time being.
The hexagram is broken down into two trigrams, the top three and the bottom three. The top trigram describes that which is apparent and the bottom trigram describes that which is hidden or not as well known.
Here the top trigram indicates "strength and creativity" while the bottom trigram indicates "brightness (or light) and warmth" ...you can interpret these how you will, but I'd say these describe Senator Kerry's attributes quite correctly.
The meaning I take this very simplistic reading is that he's doing the right things to bring people together and while no immediate change is looming, the senator's got the superior qualities to succeed: his obvious strength and creativity and his lesser-known qualities of brightness and warmth. No immediate change, but he's headed in the right direction.
edit: I didn't realize people would want an acutal explanation. I'm probably so used to this that I took a lot for granted. It might help if you could see the hexagram.
This hexagram is called T'ung Jen. It symbolizes fellowship with man.
Six horizantal bars comprise the hexagram. The two short bars are considered a broken bar.
The trigrams are comprised of the top three bars and the the bottom three bars.
