3. Now they're both working for me.
Was Kos trying to promote a Warner candidacy by having him at his convention? If so, that seems to have worked out well.

5. Jerome Armstrong is now working for Warner
He is Kos' "blogfather", and the co-author of his recently-published book. So there's a definite link there.

6. I'm not a fan of either Chavez or Ahmadinejad
And I can't stand all these people who insist on glorifying Chavez, even though his last election was a bit of a joke. And Iran is horrible.

But . . . it sounds like Warner wasn't well thought out in his answers. This is a problem. Hilarious that Adam Nagourney was there, and the blogger didn't know it was him. So, like, why didn't these Trekkies, excuse me, Kossaks give it to this MSM blowhard for GOP talking points. Interesting, that Nagourney defended Warner. Looks like we know where all the pundits stand on the Democrats in '08 (Hillary for fun, Warner for real).

7. I agree with you on Chavez
Edited on Sun Jun-11-06 12:19 PM by karynnj
He is not a super good guy, but Buah was totally wrong in recognizing the junta as soon as they appeared. I was tempted to post the Kerry Latin America statement - where I thought he stated a full blown position that made sense. I decided not too because it was clear they wanted Barbara Lee's position and wouldn't see how far beyond the others Kerry is.

Here's what he says about Chavez:

The fact is that far too often, we have sent mixed messages when it comes to supporting democracy in Latin America. This Administration sat by and watched as mob violence drove presidents from office in Bolivia and in Argentina. They even encouraged a president to flee in Haiti, and immediately recognized a government named by a military junta in Venezuela. There is no question that Hugo Chavez has undermined the democratic process in his country, supported narco-terrorists in Colombia, and provided massive assistance to Castro’s repressive regime in Cuba. But when we countenance mob rule or military force to oust an elected president -- even objectionable leaders like Chávez -- we lose the credibility necessary to become a true force for democracy. In fact, our policies have been so unpopular that opposition to the United States has become a rallying point for some of the very politicians we would most like to see defeated.

8. This may suggest that the blog readers are less controlled
by the blog masters than Kos assumes. It may be that he has an audience, but he needs to make a case.

I saw him on MTP and he is one weird guy. He was hard to listen to because his speech was in bursts and didn't seem to have normal intonation. (It's not that it was too fast I've lived outside Chicago and NYC for most of my life, so it's not the speed.)
