1. Yeah I saw some of it on CSPAN
"DC Outsider" Harry Reid was the keynote speaker I heard.

3. I haven't a clue
I read an article about it though in the WaPo and there was a quote by Joe Trippi saying that missing that convention was the equiv of missing the Jefferson-Jackson Dinner in Iowa. I honestly thought that was bs since this is his first convention I believe and the party has been having Jefferson-Jackson dinners for ages. If I were a candidate though I'd stay away from them. I can't stand how arrogant they are.

6. Totally agree, Kleebster
Kos is NOT the only game in town, but the stupid MSM, being as lazy as usual think Daily Kos IS the liberal blogosphere, when it certainly is only one site of many. True it's the biggest, traffic wise. But what about DU, Huff Post, TPM, plus all the little blogs. All of that together has GOT to be equal to Kos's site, right?

Anyway, Kos didn't organize the convention; other people on the site did. I think next year if Yearly Kos is it, then it needs to be expanded to mean a Liberal Blogosphere Convention. Saying Daily Kos is all there is from the LW blogosphere is like saying Rush Limbaugh is the ONLY RW outlet. Sure, Rush was THE star for a while, but there was always a LOT more out there than him (and you may be surprised that a lot of conservatives don't like him).

I don't mind Kos being featured on MTP as a liberal pundit voice. He's diversifying what's being said from the tired liberal pundits, but once again, he shouldn't be the ONLY voice of the LW blogosphere on TV.

5. Markos is a DC consultant
He is connected with a bunch of think tanks and Simon Rosenberg type New Dems. I don't know what they want, have their money-grubbing cake and eat it too is all I can see at this point. I'm honestly completely baffled by them.

9. What a fucking hypocrite
Yeah Markos you're sooooooooooooo grassroots. I can't stand the guy honestly. I swear if I ever ran for any office I'd stay away from Kos. These pepole aren't the true grassroots. They're a bunch of arrogant asses who think they're the only ones in the Democratic party and we must pander to them.

4. Warner, Webb, Richardson, Clark, Reid
It's a regular centrist hullabaloo over there right now. We're going to have an entire Democratic Party of Blanche Lincoln's. Which is better than a party of Mary Matalin's, but still. Geezo.

7. speaking of Mary Matalin
Friend of my ole man's catered to a party she and James Carville were having in Alexandria. Apparently James likes being called James and loves his bourbon. He's a lot more centrist than I am politically but I've always liked Carville honestly since I think he doesn't take himself too seriously take his cameos in Old School and Wedding Crashers, and I like his insights as a Louisanan.
