Ed Schultz to have Webb on later
Ed Schultz is not making me happy today. He's ragging on the Senate Dems for having two amendments and not being united. He was on the same thing yesterday. :eyes:

But anyway, he said Webb is going to be on the program a little later--so I thought some would be interested in tuning in later on.

Unfortunately, Norfolk, VA dropped Ed, so I'm back to no lib radio, and I'm only willing to download for JK. If anybody listens, let me know what he said.

4. I heard he was
very harsh on the Dems, mainly Kerry. Is he falling into the Rovian trap or just going back to the DLC party?

5. Maybe you are right. He may be nervous about the way this is being
spun. That hit piece was designed to leave the impression that Kerry was a divider and put the Dem's in a bad position. Ultimately though, it will work to his advantage. Schultz should be emphasizing the fact that we have now opened up and had an honest discussion on Iraq and the Dem's have begun to take a new path forward. Hey, no longer can the media claim we don't have a plan. Why, we are so progressive we came up with two or three. I think i will e-mail the show and point this out. i think we should all spin this positively and stick it to whoever was behind that terrible piece.

6. Ed Schultz nailed kerry's &&& to the wall about just about everything
Edited on Thu Jun-22-06 05:59 PM by ray of light
FRom the swifties to the 04 concension to the "backing up RFK" and what has he done in Ohio! The works! Nolie said it right to me: "Ed had a Rush moment!" Exactly! He did NOT help us or kerry or the party today by railing at dems for having to plans. And jee...like Karendc said sort of...One party, one voice= facism...

AND in my opinion, and as I've called people, "WHY is ED supporting the Reid plan that is NO DIFFERENT from the Republican plan?" Sure they say the war is wrong and the troops should come home, but EVERY single person I've spoken to today, without knowing WHOSE name is on the resolution, supported the KERRY plan not the Reid one! NOT ONE person supported the Republican light plan. Not one person supported the Republican plan. EACH and everyone supported KERRY's withdrawal plan.

I'm more angry at Rush, oops I mean ED, then you can believe!

7. He's talking to his target, it's ok
He's just giving people who want to end the war a way to do it without having to think of themselves as quitters and cowards, that's all. I really have no problem with this as an overall strategy for November. JK takes the lead for the far left and god knows the far left needs a sensible leader. The majority of the party takes a slightly more moderate road, but redeployment and disengagement are still the key.

Don't mess up the main point of BOTH Dem plans by creating divisions where there really aren't any. That's exactly what the left did to Kerry in 2004 and it didn't help at all. ALL Democrats want a new strategy focused on withdrawal, that's the key point.
