It's always amazing to me how few people actually step up with sizeable donations. Seems like more than 2,975 people or groups would have been able to come up with $1,000. But at least the project is paid for, that's the main thing.

When the paver is in place, I'll ask the Heroes Fund people or someone from DU who lives nearby to take a pic so we can send it to him.

i think it would be better to have someone give it to him personally rather than mail it. like during that birthday event which was used to give him those cards .

15. with the campaign season starting up

and especially the primary campaigns in 2007 if JK runs, it will be a time when he will hold many public and other appearances and give us many more chances to do it in person.

love the idea of taking a picture of him seeing it. and of course i bet he would visit the place also. i can also see many other people who don't know of DU or what we did but go there and see it and let JK know about it.
