I braved the wind and snow for new Archie photos!
Please let me know which ones you like best!

It snowed for three days (Friday through Sunday) here. So on Monday and Tuesday, I went out and took these photos. The old church is near Rocky Mountain National Park. The Boulder County Courthouse and the Boulder Cafe are at the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder.

The church just really took my breath away. I wish I could have shot it from the highway side, it was much more dramatic on that side. But the high winds (60mph+) and traffic prevented me.

Stupid photobucket is making them small.

2. Uh-huh, somebody else got bit by the church bug... :-)
I like church #2, too. All are great, but I love this shot. I might crop off some of the left, but that's just me.

3. The "Rocky Mountain Church".......
It's The Chapel on the Rock at Camp Saint Malo.

http://www.saintmalo.org/

Quite an awesome structure. Have driven by it 100 times. Well... maybe not 100 times. Ok.. 99 times. But always "without camera". I believe it's lit up at night. Would be a kewl night snap. I too really like version #2.

There is another kewl church waaaay back in the woods north of Saint Malo. Don't remember the name of it or exactly how to get there.

Looks like you had a lot of fun. Envy ya'. All these are very very nice.
:applause:

4. Thanks for the info!
I live about 30 minutes from it, so I'll definitely be going back! Maybe get inside next time, and check it out. I bet it looks awesome at night.

vote too, though you'll want it bigger. Maybe the file size higher than photobucket allows and they just resize it too small. I have been to the chapel too but only in summer. Beautiful chapel in a beautiful place.

And Gordon, the other chapel, would you of been thinking about Peaceful Valley Memorial Chapel, way up in the woods of Peaceful Valley Ranch?
Not my picture and still looking for a daylight one.

I agree with Blue in AK... a little bit off the left side.

7. Go with the church, but...
...I'm torn between #2 and #6.

If you choose #2, you might want to experiment with cropping the bottom a bit.
