Mr. Touchdown goes to Washington (Dial up warning-10 shots)
Hey! I've been gone. I had a lobbbying conference for labor issues, and met all Colorado's Reps (or their flunkies).

Under Garfield

Korean War Memorial

Obelisk

Station Bird

Station Ceiling

WWII Memory Stars

Dubliner's Door

Homeland Security

Almost there...

Wide angle Capital

Is that really your sister?

The pics are good.

The Korean War Memorial is especially good composition. I like the fading depth of field. Adds to the ghostly effect.
The best picture of this memorial I have seen.

The cockeyed street lamp gave me a smile.

You must have an especially versitile camera.:)

On Edit:
I know very little about the Art & Science of Photography, and avoid giving analysis and advice in this forum beacuse WTF do I know. I AM getting better, mostly due to my association with this forum.

5. The lamp is my little joke to Merc owners everywhere.
...especially the lady I was with in D.C. She drives one. When they stop saying "BEEMER" and call it what it really is...The Ultimate Driving Machine, and bow before it's superiority...then I'll stop trashing Mercs. I MIGHT even add the "edes" part, but don't push it!:P

I love the wide angle of the Capital. Your sister might kill you if she sees you posted that photo though. I can't keep up, which camera is your new camera? Is it s D200?
Adding, my car would not be parked under that light.

Sorry I have been in clean up and throw out hell and will be for a few more weeks. I can't remember anything except which piles go where. :banghead:

I got a D200 a couple of weeks ago. It's in Bvar's thread, posing with Stephen Colbert.

6. I thought so but so many new cameras in
the last few months. Keep updates going on it please. I think it is my next camera but have to wait a bit for one. Turning my D100 into a full time infrared when I do get one though.

7. Great Shots, TD!
I live just outside of Washington and its neat to see how others see Washington. I especially like the shot of the Washington Monument and the stars at the WWII Memorial. My favorite though is Almost There... Great eye! Love it!

10. It must have been hard to narrow that many down to 10.
The quality does look amazing on all of them.
