Poll question: Another people picture poll (Cuba pictures)
Edited on Mon Jun-05-06 01:20 PM by RagingInMiami
These are all shots I took in Cuba. I'm still working on putting the entire photo package together. So far, I have about 130 photos I plan on displaying, the most that I ever put together in any of my presentations. The antiwar protest and immigration rally presentations had about 100 photos combined.

Plus there is the written synopsis I am compiling. I'm hoping to have it all up by tomorrow, but there is always something that comes up.

Anyway, I would like to use one of my Cuba pictures for the upcoming contest. And I wanted to get some feedback from the Photo Group.

Have a cigar.

Ranting against Bush (more on that later)

1. Have a Cigar, definitely!
That is just a great shot. The composition, color, subject, etc. is perfect!

I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of your Cuban photos and hearing more about your experience there!

2. It really was an overwhelming experience
I am fascinated with the country. It's probably why it's taken so long to try and put it all into perspective.

4. Cuban cigar is the best photo, imo.
Followed closely by the kids in the first shot. But my hormones made me vote for the bagpiper. A-hubba-hubba!! :loveya:

5. You would have loved that guy
He was 24 years old, spoke six languages and had never left Cuba. We became friends and drank beer until 4 a.m. on my last night there.

The guy on the left was a French traveler who was hanging out with us that night.

7. Well that was a tough one
I voted for Cuban panhandler 3, but can I vote again for the kids?

8. all spectacular photo's
but I love the faces of the kids, the cuban bag piper had the best composition fro my eye but... again the kids faces and eyes, the life shown in kids eyes just always pulls me in.
Thank you for giving us a chance to view them!

10. faces seem to love your camera
you always have the best people photo's. You capture emotion and spirit well. intheflow is in FL now but we are due to meet up tomorrow in Atlanta. It would have been fun if we had more days. Maybe in the fall we'll swing thru Miami, it would be good to see you again.

11. That would be awesome if the both of you come down here
What part of Florida is she in?

The both of you strike me as people who would really appreciate the Keys, so if you ever come down to Miami, try to make time to visit Key West.

I always try to make people feel comfortable when I'm taking their picture, so I usually joke and talk with them while I'm taking their photo, which usually puts them at ease. If the photographer is stiff, then the subjects will usually be stiff.

In Cuba, it helped that I knew the language.
