1. I used to order from here
http://www.americanframe.com/

and was always happy. I haven't had to frame anything lately.

2. Thanks!
I'm going to start with 100 framed pics and if they sell, I plan to start a business.

I'm thinking about making the frames myself, because I have some woodworking experience.

The other option is to buy frames made in China for $12 each.

I kind of like the idea of "handmade in the USA" stamped on my product.

4. Here are a couple I've used
LightImpressionsDirect.com
for matts and archival materials and storage. Some frames as well.

frankenframes.com
for all kinds of frames. The company is in TN, but I believe the frames are made in Haiti. Great prices.

5. I've ordered pre-cut mats (with backs & bags)
from this company and have been pleased. Haven't ordered frames from them though.

6. I've had good results from MatCutter.com...
(Hopefully, this won't jinx me, and have the order I absolutely, positively need by next Friday show up late...)

I'm deciding whether to get a mat cutter and DIY or order them pre-cut.

Thanks to everybody who responded.

8. Better late.......
......I just ordered some frames for my black and white enlargements (13 x 19), from here:

http://www.goldenstateart.com

Like many others, they're Made in China, but the quality is pretty good. They're wood photo frames that are 18 x 24, with acrylic (not glass), 1" outer edge, with a bevel, and 3/4" thick. They have hangers screwed into the back of the frame, for both landscape and portrait hanging.

A box of 6 was under $65, SHIPPED, via FedEx ground.

I also ordered pre-cut mats and backing, at what seemed to be competetive pricing, from here:

http://www.matcutter.com

I'm figuring that the total cost, per framed picture, will be right about $25 per, as follows:

Frame: $10.75
Paper: $2.50 (HP Premium Plus 13 x 19)
Ink: $3.50 (HP)
Mat: $4.50 (Acid-free, black or white core, 18 x 24)
Back: $3.50
Matting tape: .25

9. I think you'll be ok with Golden State Art
I use their eBay store all the time for mats, and have always been satisfied.
