KOEB for 3/20/06 3rd Anniversary Iraq War and "The Onion Man"
Edited on Mon Mar-20-06 07:57 PM by Botany
Well according to traditional anniversary gifts #3 is Leather so does bush get this?

as the Iraqis get:

for more modern people #3 is for Crystal/Glass

so Halliburton's office can get this:

but looks like this Iraqi home just needs some glass ....

And one more thing before I have to go to the gym .... I will catch the late KO ....
(I expect a lot of nice Botany talk when i get back)

If anybody saw *'s Q & A from Cleveland today did you catch his
"The Onion Man," act? I sent it to KO ..... * is truly nuttier than a squirrel turd.
(the Q. & A. might be replayed on CSPAN) .... the Onion man stuff was towards the end of
King George's trip into insanity.

I need a dip in the Bleever Pond

and I had to find time today to go get a new cell phone. :(

This is a public service announcement: Cell phones do not appreciate it when you give them free rides in the washing machine.

48. Oh, no!
You actually did that? I would laugh, but it's definitely not funny.

Yesterday I helped with four mailings for Nancy Skinner. Then today right before I left work I got an e-mail that they're doing another big one and needed help tonight and tomorrow night from 6-9. I didn't go today, but I might go tomorrow.

I really hope she wins the primary and kicks Knollenberg's butt.

when she was on the Doug Stephan Show. I'm glad she got back into politics after running in Democratic Senate race in Illinois.

It's okay, you can laugh. I am.

like they had been locked up all day and into everything. They are so not used to being locked up. They are also trying to squeeze under the closet door but so far none have made it, yet.

Now me, I am slow because this is just to good to only listen too, must watch. Keith does seem to be enjoying his news tonight.

Good example why my ferrets are not allowed in the closet.

I still get those moments now and then, many years after my dad's death, but it was the first two weeks that were the toughest for me. After watching him go down and down for so long, losing him was almost a relief and it happened less painfully than I feared, which definitely made things more bearable.

120. I'm putting this on my list of edicts to issue.
When I'm Queen. Along with mandatory naps for everyone.

All people moving to Dallas will be given a 1 to 2 hour training on the metropolitan area. Not driving into high water will be covered in the curriculum, as will NOT driving on ice. I will also cover the names of all of the expressways, including the fact that REAL Dallasites still refer to the George Bush Turnpike as "One Ninety." And if you don't give people a little wave when they let you merge in to traffic, you get an automatic slap on the hand with an electric ruler.

131. when I see footage of cars up to their hoods in water
I usually assume that when the cars stalled out, the water wasn't so egregiously high, i.e., they drove into what they thought was a 4-inch puddle and it turned out to be an 8-incher and the wake stalled them out, they abandoned their cars, and the water rose. Otherwise... could there really be that many people who are driving into puddles they know are that deep? Or are they so dumb that they drive into puddles on roads they don't know and they really have no clue they're about to drive into two feet of water? Hello, if you can't see the curb it's not a good sign. :eyes:

133. True story.
Back when I lived in Buffalo, we used to get flooding on Main Street --water main breaks, heavy rainstorms, etc. I was waiting at the bus stop shelter as the rain poured around it when this woman drove by with her kids, stopped at the light, and then comfortably drove past me.

After the bus picked me up, we hadn't driven more than a couple of blocks when we found the same woman, kids in tow, stalled in the water on Main Street, screaming hysterically at the top of her voice, "Get me out of here!" The bus driver, being a prince of a guy, picked up the whole carload, including one kid with chattering teeth.

I suspect that people think they can get through a flash flood unscathed.
