I don't know if I've ever seen him THAT angry before. Just because O'Reilley said that the US slaughtered innocent Nazis during WW2...

I watched the clip and thought he was gonna bust a gut.
KO is just THE BEST!!
I just went to google news and entered "O'Reilly Malmedy" and there was only one article, which pretty much bitch slapped Bill O again:

Edited to ask if KO has ever been in the military, just for my own knowledge.

3. no, he's never been in the military, AFAIK
nor could he have been, I suspect, with the head injury, although the military's none too particular these days. He's just a righter of wrongs and thank God we still have a few of those in the media.

4. I don't think so.
But if he's like me he has relatives who served in WWII. I think his rage was a mixture of anger at the gross historical lie + the fact that this is considered "journalism". O'Really crossed a whole lot of lines with that precious bit of historical revisionism. Next thing up: holocaust denial, hey, maybe WWII did'nt happen at all!:puke:

5. He hasn't been in, but he has older relatives who have been.
He had plenty of righteous anger built up to a head, and last night it damn near exploded right through a lot of TVs.

6. I hope you guys don't think I would think anything less about Keith

if he hasn't served in the military. I was just wondering.
I mean the guy's terrific, and we're lucky to have him.
I lurve KO, even if he isn't "my type." (He's a guy..but what a guy!).
Ack! I had to edit this 'cause my post upthread is too old.
Anyhoo, I wanted to add that there are now 4 (yes, only FOUR) articles when I just googled googles news for "O'Reilly Malmedy." Thank goodness KO spoke out, or there wouldn't be as much outrage against Bill O and his fecal stupidity.
They are(please be patient,'cause I'll prolly be editing this multiple times, and screwing it up multiple times :banghead: ):

7. thanks for the links
it's a natural enough question. Keith's dad is still alive and would be of an age (I suspect) to have served during WWII or Korea. Ditto any uncles, etc. So many men of that generation did serve, for years, and did amazing things that are often forgotten, sometimes because the soldiers themselves won't talk about them. I never knew until after my dad's death that he'd earned a Bronze Star and a Silver Star during WWII; I have no idea how that happened.

8. My Uncle Bill's squadron received a unit Silver Star and the only...
reason I know that is because my cousin Marla showed me his medals and ribbons one day a long time ago. Uncle Bill and his brother, my Uncle Benny, both served in the South Pacific. Benny was in the Navy and his battleship participated in the bombardment of Iwo Jima. Neither one talks much about it and never in detail.:patriot: <Salute!>

9. You can get information about that from the DoD
or the Veteran's Office. My mom was a genealogist & got military records of my ancestors, all the way back to the Revolution. Those records would include any medals or honors with descriptions of why they were awarded.

:patriot: for your dad!
