7. I signed up today
I never realized it was so much like DU (well, not exactly like DU). I heard part of one of the sessions the other day where they were talking about people arguing, trolls, etc. Just another day on the Internets -- we all have the same tsuris.

We should all meet up there next year.

They are waaaay too serious sometimes, and they don't play. We're much more entertaining. And we believe the elections were stolen.

wanted no part of it. Barely let us entertain the notion. I found DU and realized there were others who thought something smelled.

17. Really!
I'm shocked, I tell you. Glad I found this place first and just stayed.

I always thought DailyKos was more of a blog, not really a discussion forum like DU, but I guess it's more than I thought it was, without being as broad as DU is. I'll have to nose around a bit once my 24 hour waiting period is over. Do you use the same screen name over there?

OK, I have to add to this:

Dear Keith,

I know you realize now that it upsets some of us so when you go on vacation that you don't even like to warn us about it anymore. But damn, that way it just hurts all the more.

Please, from now on, let us know. Give us time to get used to it. Especially when you decide to take a WEEK off.

That way, we'll all have time to try to acquire lives. Or at least I will.

I know. Maybe you're moving THIS week. I can understand that. Or maybe this is the big week of your traveling baseball-game tour. If so, I hope you enjoy it. You deserve it.

But still.

Waaaaah.

But damn that vote dragged out for 4 hours. Crispy & I were dead on our feet afterwards, depressed that our guy lost  but we did hang out with some other DUers later & had a really good laugh at the whole day.

35. Yeah, see...
That's my problem with Daily Kos. His way, or the highway.

I appreciate the logic and the thought over there, but I like the circus feeling over here which often leads to the logical conclusion. I like that we all work through the issues, even with the tin foil hat theories, and arrive at the facts through discussion and humor. I don't mind that we're conspiracy theorists, I don't mind that sometimes we're wrong. I like the process here. It more accepting and free. There, you have to write a whole thing and sit back and get yelled at. Here, you don't have to write all that much to get yelled at.

No wonder they have so many fights over there == not that we don't over here. They sounded like they have all of the same problems we do -- they fight and disagree with each other all the time and lose sight of what the issues really are, they have a major troll problem, etc. etc. etc.

:hi:
I'm just doing a drive by to say "hello."
I'm not watching the show right now, but I'm assuming it's Brian filling in. I was hoping someone would fill in this person on General Discussion:

Markos (KOS) was Fantastic but who's that Jerk who's filling in for KO

62. OK, got to say this and get it out of the way.
If I never hear Brian Unger refer to Angelina Jolie as "pillow-lipped" again, it will be too soon.

See, this is the problem. Brian is OK but he doesn't bring the snark to the celeb crap that I need if I'm going to have it thrown in my face night after night. Personally I couldn't care what little Soolaimon My-Name-Means-Pretty-in-French Zazu Pitt wears. I certainly woudn't run out and buy it after hearing her pillow-lipped mommy put it on her. But if I have to listen to this garbage, let me hear about it from someone who will give it all the honor it deserves (none) and all the snark it deserves (every kind imaginable).

Honestly, I have nothing against the kid, but she really isn't the messiah--of Pretty or of anything else (although that was a good zinger, Keith)--and I'm really quite sick of hearing about her, her parents, Suri Cruise, her parents, etc.

Please. Enough already.

You know it's bad when you're happy because Matt Damon had a kid and it was so low-key.

74. You got it.
From now on, I intend to refer to this child by every name other than what she has.
