3. You know. I did.
In fact, when I woke up and truned on the computer and saw the news, I turned it right back off and went to work. I checked in a few times, read FDL, and didn't listen to any news, any radio, any spin from any side all day -- until now. I had a great day.

:hi:

4. Lucky you.
When I went into the bathroom per my usual routine this morning and turned on the radio, the first thing I heard from Mark Riley was the breaking news that Luskin got the letter. I said, "oh, fuck!" When hubby came into the bathroom after I got in the shower he asked me, "Do you feel like you got punched in the stomach?" I sure did.

I checked in throughout the day, but I kept my nose out of most of it.

11. It sure is
Guess he's doing better just a week too late to save his job, though.

He went to a private school around here and they presented him with a distinguished alumni award last weekend. His brother had to accept it for him.

I've always liked him. I just hope they find a good spot for him when he's ready to return to work.

10. In my opinion Karl Rove has rolled in Cheney & Libby & will testify
against them, or has at least made a deal to testify truthfully. :hi: :loveya:  :pals: :woohoo:

12. I think Rove rolled, too
As I've always said, if we can get Cheney instead of him, I'm okay with it.

13. Go read FDL.
http://www.firedoglake.com/2006/06/13/hey-bob-wheres-your-letter

"It’s become ever more apparent as time goes on and Fitzgerald releases bits of information in his filings that this was a Dick Cheney operation. Rove may have gotten involved because smearing people is his idea of a good time, but the Cheney scrawlings on Joe Wilson’s op-ed are the "blue dress" of this case. Look at Conrad Black. Look at George Ryan. I’m sorry, but Fitzgerald had Rove dead to rights if he wanted him, and anyone who thinks he got nothing for something has been following the story of a different prosecutor than I have been."

-- Jane Hamsher.

If Fitz got everything he wanted (i.e. "Cheney made me do it.") from Karl in the last GJ appearance, no need to indict.

that Bob Luskin hasn't put that letter on a every billboard in Times Square and started selling T-shirts.

19. Already did
I talked to Bunny for a few minutes earlier and she told me to read it. It gave her hope. Quite a bit of it had been posted here somewhere or on DailyKos earlier today.

23. LOL!
Well, I hope that the optimistic ones are right about the "Rove rolled and bigger game are in the offing" theory. Because if not, I am gonna be so damn depressed that I am gonna hang myself really soon.

OK, I have to say it and I will say it once and get it over with so you don't all beat up on me: Leopold has to come clean and start outing people. If he cares anything about any reputation he has left at all, he has to do it.

There. I said it. It is done. I will say no more on the subject and will not even contribute to GD threads on it, so there. But I do want people to remember that back when he came out with his big "scoop," many on DU were reviling the MSM for not reporting the same, and ridiculing them for being obedient little Bushies. I know I will die of suffocation holding my breath if I wait for all of those people to apologize, so I won't. I'll just say here that I wish they would give it a thought. But noooo. Instead they're calling for David Shuster to be fired because he was so sure Rove would be indicted that he even said so. I can only imagine what they're planning for Tweety. :scared:

OK. I said I'm done talking about it. I'm done.

Hell. I'm not even watching Countdown now. My TV is off. I think I'm too afraid of hearing Brian Unger say the words "pillow-lipped" again.

and I've already warned my friends that I intend to ask for a ticket to the "President Gore movie. What? No, you heard me right. P.R.E.S.I.D.E.N.T. GORE."

30. OK, so I turn it on in time for the phone ringtone story
and I find I can HEAR the tone they played at the beginning.

Maybe I'm not so old after all.

Best news I've had all day.

But Daryl Hannah as the #1 story? Oh boy. Like I said before, when Keith's away the producer mice will play.

33. Oh man, was the ending of tonight's show the longest that five minutes
has ever lasted or WHAT?

Slow as molasses. Awkward silences. Interviewer and interviewee either stepping on each other or staring nervously wondering whether or not to say anything. Awkward delivery of so-so jokes that could have seemed much funnier delivered at more speed with two people who felt comfortable with each other.

Talk about Open Mike Night at the Chuckle Hut! OUCH! :scared: That was just PAINFUL.

Keith, come back. Whatever it is you're doing, it can wait.

36. I didn't watch tonight. Haven't watched much lately, not due to Keith
(or lack of Keith).
I guess Alison won't sub anymore since she's got her own show (which I saw once and really liked).
At least she's cuter than Brian, IMO, and better with the snark.
(But what do I know. I'm a lesbian.:) But I do lurve Keith, even though he's not my type).
