2. Thanks, Rev.
We're running neck and neck with McNerney -- it's going to be tight. He paid for a front page ad on DailyKos.

I think we're in real trouble. Some grassroots campaign -- McNerney is paying for ads all over the place.

I thought we had 6 earlier, and it still says six.

Oooh -- now it's 8.

9. I voted for Skinner on Mark
Warner's Mapchangers thingy recently. Are these all interconnected? She was on his top five in the semi-final round! Haven't checked back since I voted though, so not sure if she's still there?

10. I haven't seen much of that one -- I should go look for it
They are not connected, but if she could win them both, it would be great.

Looks like she won the DFA!

:woohoo:

I'm trying to vote in the Mark Warner thing, but I'm having trouble. I just signed up. It tells me I'm logged in, but when I go to vote it tells me I have to log in and then when I try to log in again, it tells me my login and password are no good. WTF!!!!

On edit: Nevermind, I finally got it. There are like three different places you have to sign in on the site and you get different e-mails from all of them. I was finally able to vote.

15. Sounds like this a massive Dem Fundraising Project ?
IMHO, I think it would be GREAT if DU had a similiar project ?

Several months ago I polled DU about how to spend my $500 "campaign" budget....my choices were from $500 to one candidate to $10 to 50 candidates !

Guess what won :)

16. I wish I had that large a campaign budget right now,
but with hubby out of work, I have to be choosy. I've given $25 to Nancy, of course, and $25 to Bernie Sanders at an event I went to today to hear him speak. He was awesome!

I can't wait to find out tomorrow whether Nancy definitely won. It will mean major fundraising for her campaign through DFA.

17. Actually my "politico" budget saves me money....
I don't do boots on the ground or cold calling, nor do I do state dem meeting...two trips to Richmond w/overnights a month, biggie savings :D

Hope you didn't think I was flaunting $$$, it just makes me feel better to donate! So I don't feel guilty saying no to the precinct Captain  However, two anti-war protests in DC and NYC this past year, priceless!

18. No, I didn't hink you were "flaunting"
I'd feel a whole lot better if I could donate more. And, yes, those two trips were priceless! I just hope if anything comes up later this year that I'll be able to go, but I think I've blown my travel budget for a while.

19. You're doing something as important as
Edited on Mon Jun-26-06 04:06 PM by CC
donating money, you are donating time and labor. There are a lot of people that can't afford to donate these days and if 1 out of 10 would donate time we could have enough dem votes to make theft all but impossible. Then to add to what you are already doing you let us know where to vote for Nancy online for funds. It is great to see so many get involved one way or anther in this group and on DU.

20. Thanks, CC.
Unfortunately, all of our hard work didn't pay off -- McNerney from CA won the DFA contest. At the close of the polls on Friday, we really thought Nancy had pulled it off, but it was a close race and after the final tallies and auditing over the weekend, she came in second.

I really want to thank everyone in this group and all over DU who voted for Nancy and for all of your support. With any luck, she'll be able to beat Knollenberg in November.
