Woo Hoo! North Dakota reunion this summer!

I am so psyched! One of my dad's sisters called me from Chicago yesterday, and let me know that my 2nd cousins out in North Dakota are having a big reunion near Coeur d'Alene in July.

This is one branch of the family I've heard about pretty much since birth, but have never met. My mom and one of the cousins wrote Christmas cards for years. But things have kind of disintegrated since the older generation started dying.

I called the main cousin charge today and had to explain who I was, but she was tickled to hear from me, and is very excited I'll be coming, along with the book, scrapbooks, and eagerness to learn more about the Swedish side that my great aunt Flossie married into.

I had been trying to figure out the best person to call from that side to get info; turns out it was taken completely out of my hands and dropped into my lap! I'm hoping our trip to Alberta may actually yield some pictures from their side of the family that none of them have seen before.

I'm PSYCHED!
