And I say this as a Black female.

Engaging in blind loyalty and simply voting for the Black candidate is NOT a victory.

The Obama camp made this a campaign about race, with Michelle Obama's "Black America will wake up and get it" and Barack Obama's "There's no doubt if we consolidate the Black vote, there would be a pround shift..."

I frankly am disappointed in my community...especially the ones who just eviscerated and slammed Tavis Smiley a few weeks ago, when he suggested that after falling in love with Obama, we need to hold him accountable. And Tavis took a lot of heat for suggesting we need to remember to hold Obama accountable.

I too am an African-American female and I am upset at this result. It is clear this was a vote about race because if the issues had been considered there is no way in hell Hillary and especially John Edwards would not have gotten more votes.

This is disgusting and mark my words is a setback for race relations. We expect others to not judge us solely on our skin color but we have just demonstrated that the rule does not apply to us. Furthermore what makes this result even more fucked up is that we turned our backs on Hillary and John Edwards simply because they are not black. For the first time in my lifetime African Americans have shown we are just as dumb as southern whites because we failed to vote in our interest because race trumpted everything.

Out of the three candidates, Obama policies are least favorable to African Americans.

I just donated money to Hillary. Hang in there future President Clinton. The rest of Black America is not so easily duped.

they are really voting red, as in red state values, instead. That's sad.
