Novak 'Probably' Regrets Plame Leak
Edited on Sat Dec-31-05 01:04 AM by Hissyspit
Heh, check out the typo in this. 'A federal grand jury has indicted a top White House on charges of perjury.' Yes, the whole White House would probably be a good idea.

Novak 'probably' regrets Plame leak
From United Press International
December 30, 2005 7:06 PM EST
WASHINGTON, Dec 30, 2005 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Syndicated columnist Robert Novak says he "probably" regrets disclosing the name of a CIA operative in a 2003 column that sparked a federal investigation.

In an interview with CNN Friday, Novak insisted he would not discuss the leak of Valerie Plame's identity, but he conceded he regretted disclosing her name in a column about her husband, former ambassador Joseph Wilson's, criticism of the Bush Administration's rationale for the war in Iraq.

"I probably do because it's caused me so much trouble," said Novak.

A federal grand jury has indicted a top White House on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice in connection with the leak.

2. Exactly. If he knew it was right, he would NOT regret it. If he knew it

was WRONG, he would absolutely REGRET it. But he PROBABLY regrets it because it caused him so much trouble and made him look like a traitor.

5. Anyone Have A Feel For
when Fitzgerald will surface again with the Plame case? I'm hoping it will be shortly after the New Year, and that he bypassed our Fitzmas gift because he didn't want to interrupt anyone's holiday. He strikes me as a considerate type. Now, if he would just consider our anxiety and bring forth a couple indictments. :)

9. That self centered POS SOB
only regrets causing trouble for himself, not for ending Mrs, Wilson's carrer, nor for allowing her former associates and activities to be exposed.

3. Zero remorse for his act of treason.
He doesn't regret it because it was wrong. He just doesn't like the way it's turned out for him. It's all about him.

4. He just can't stay out of trouble, though, can he???
The rest of the story is most instructive:

Novak, 74, told a conservative audience in North Carolina earlier this month that President George W. Bush must know who leaked Plame's name, but he told CNN he should not have said that.

"That was a really dumb thing to say," he said.

Novak would not say whether he believes Bush knows who leaked Plame's name.

Friday was Novak's last day at CNN, although he had been off the air since August, when he used a vulgarity during a live show and walked off the set. He will work for Fox News Channel starting in January.

7. That would mean he had a conscience
And we all know these right-wing goofs are sociopaths.

He said it caused him so much trouble. How about Wilson and Plame?! How about the country, douchebag?

Oh, I hate him.
