1. Not on yet in my time zone--
but the guide says it's a show on Debunking myths (i.e. being cold gives you a cold, money buys happiness, republicans shrink the government).

Should be an interesting show. I'd be interested in hearing how they supported this argument, what experts they spoke to, etc. I don't plan to watch the show. John Stossel irritates me to no end, if there's a chance I may have to watch him, I tend to stay away. LOL!

Glad it gave you a giggle.

And the Supreme Court is taking up the case.

4. The whole show STANK !
Stoessel is obviously a closeted neocon, although I have noticed this abt him on previous episodes.

He practically WORSHIPPED Steven Moore who is as big a Chimp butt kisser that there ever was. The 10 myths simply highlighted the premises offered in Moore's new book. I was highly offended, but when you write in to these media outlets, CNN, Chicago Sun Times, ABC News, they just don't care and never bother to even discuss their dissenting email let alone return a reply. So I didn't bother.

But I was STILL highly pissed and ABC News has dropped even further on my love to hate media list. Happy New Years?? BAH, HUMBUG!!

7. The thing to remember
about the "media" is they want you to think opposite of reality and in favor of Bush no matter what. Their job is to keep Bush's (and any other republican) job approval up. Why? Cause their masters at the corporations will be happy since they get more money while the GOP is in business.

10. Stossel isn't in the right wing closet
He's never tried to hide that he's a corporate shill.

The worst part about him is that he started out as a consumer advocate, until he discovered that carrying big business's water paid better.

15. John Stossel a closeted Neocon? I think not.
He came out and locked his closet door a loooooooong time ago. He's very right wing all the time.

5. Isn't that the "myths and lies" show hosted by Jon Stossel?
Stossel is a hysterical RW shill in Libertarian clothing, I can hardly imagine him biting the hand that feeds him.

12. And why has it been 37 years
Since a Republican President balanced the budget?

Not Ford, not Reagan, not Bush Daddy or Bush Junior ever ran the federal budget in the black.

The last time the country saw a balanced budget under a Republican? Richard Nixon, 1968.

14. I agree, I watched the show and he missed the point on many issues
For instance he said their were more trees in America than their was 50 years ago yet failed to mention that third world country's are cutting down their forests much faster than they are being replaced causing soil erosion and leading to the extinction of many different species. He also failed to mention that cutting down the rainforest's is increasing the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. It's not all about what is happening in America but what our industries and consumption are doing to third world country's.

Some of what he said was fine but on a number of things he gave OK stats but failed to mention other stats that completely contradicted what he was saying. I think he completely blew it on gun control. He failed to mention how many people are killed by accidents with guns and that people with guns who try to stop criminals are more likely to end up getting shot than if they didn't have a gun. He also failed to mention how many children get a hold of guns and kill other kids or themselves or others by accident.

John Stossel pisses me off! He is such a dick who cherry picks stats to make it seem like he is so smart when in fact he is an idiot!!!!!

20. He lies, and lies, and lies, and lies.
I caught one small snippet of the asshole saying that Americans lives in every income bracket have improved in the last four years.

Guess he missed all the news reports about millions more in poverty since chimpy stole the presidency.

Why is he allowed to use the public airways to lie?
