why won't the prez ever sit up straight?
Edited on Wed May-31-06 08:31 PM by ginnyinWI
I mean really--he's the leader of the country--at least he could sit up straight in his chair when speaking to foreign dignitaries and such.

When they show him on TV, I have to mute the sound so I can stand seeing him--but then I see a hunched-over, twisted little guy who looks up at the camera while he struggles to find enough words to form a coherent sentence. And his legs look like he has trouble getting his feet to reach the floor, just like a kid. Get the guy a different chair, if he just can't sit straight in it! What is wrong with him? If * looks presidential, then so does my cat!

7. Did you notice his feet while he wiggled around?
On his toes, twisted in the chair. Looked like the chair was too big for him and his feet wouldn't touch the ground. Gawd he was soooo bad.

I wonder about that every time I see him sitting with a world leader
I think it is because he feels like a lesser light with a true statesman in the room.

Kind of like a country boy (not that * is one) finding himself in a more sophisticated setting than that with which he is accustomed.

The guy has no social grace. You should see him eat (I, unfortunately, have).

Cheney is even worse.

He sits up straight and looks you in the eye.

I am considering encouraging him to run in 2008.

16. Cuz he ain't got no class.
OR

He thinks sitting up straight makes him look like a sissy.

Or and most likely...

It's a "Body Language" thing, he has no respect of his audience. (Sorry, I never actually read the book, maybe someone here who has can answer this).

25. In a few years, he will be like the old guy I visited in a nursing home.
We were chatting and he leaned way over to the right. One of the orderlies ran over and straightened him up. A couple minutes later, he leaned way over to the left and another attendant rushed up behind him and picked him up straight again.

I said "It looks like they're pretty attentive, so I guess you like it here okay?"

He replied, "It's not too bad but they won't let me fart."

Okay it's an old joke I just remembered. :D
