Hey, folks, what say we start sending the Dixie Chicks a little love?
How about making calls to radio request programs and requesting a favorite DC song be played. I mean not just calling a station and ask the manager to change a policy, but actually request from the DJ that they play this music.

2. They were awesome on Larry King last night
This man called in and noted that the "Chicks were taking calls, and Rumsfeld didn't when he was on LK last week. So the Dixie chicks have more balls than Rumsfeld!"

I've never been a fan of country music, but I went out and bought it and now I can't stop singing it.

They refered to it as "Music to give people their voices back!"

3. Can't wait to watch it
Recorded it last night but couldn't watch it yet.

While they didn't get to say much, their performance was outstanding on the wretched, "Good Morning, America" last week.

I'm also trying to find the audio of their hour-long interview on Stern last WED 24 MAY 06... Anybody know of an archive of Stern shows? TIA.

You don't have to like country to enjoy the Chicks -- just have an appreciation for good songwriting, exceptional musicianship, and people who say what's on their minds. :)

7. I listened to the CD yesterday; they could make me like country
music again. (Well I listened to samples at the store). While I liked all the songs 2 stood out; the last one and the one that is I think the 4th from the bottom of the list on the back of the CD. The last one is really good and I liked the message in Lubbock or Leave It (there are more churches than trees in Lubbock) made me want to hear the rest of the song to hear what else they had to say about it.

4. What about Reba and Toby? I'd say a boycott on those
two anti-Americans is in order. The Dixie Chicks not only have style and grace but they ROCK! I bought the new CD the first day it was out and I tell everybody I see what a breath of fresh air these ladies are. Poor Larry King is in the advanced stages of Alzheimer's, but he did manage to let them speak their minds.

5. Reba dissed them just last week. Evil woman.
I too didn't care much for country music but bought this CD to support them. It is great.

6. I heard the single last night and didn't know what it was; it was great
I was at a record store and they were playing the CD. I thought, "Wow, that's a great song. And that group sounds sorta familiar." And then I realized it was the Chicks, and "Not Ready to Play Nice".

Politics or no, it really is a great tune. Every song I heard from that CD was good.

I'm going to have to get my hands on it next payday.

13. Excellent! Call, everyone. Let's get the Chicks back on the
radio. Natalie was right on last night that people have the right to disagree or not like what she says but they don't have the right to ruin the Chicks' careers because of it. These women have the right to their livelihood.

12. Kicked and Recommended
call them if you like but disc jockeys no longer work in radio... I got out of radio, after I interviewed with Clear-Channel and saw what it was becoming.
