SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Millions of California voters will make decisions on everything from school bonds to our next governor next week, but there was some voting going on in Sacramento on Wednesday, where Kennedy High School held a mock election.
Kennedy students, most of whom are not even old enough to vote yet, cast their ballots in their own version of the California primary. Their ballot was similar to one voters will seen on Election Day, with the candidates for governor, propositions and local measures.

The idea is to get teenagers into the habit of voting.
The teacher in Wednesday's lesson on democracy was California Secretary of State Bruce McPherson.
"It's of particular concern to me, that in the presidential election two years ago in California, of the 18- to 24-year-olds, only one out of four of them voted for president of the United States," McPherson said.
