Marines are trained to kill people and break things, not be the neighborhood crime watch.

Those responsible, from the top down, need to be charged with murder.

No, this isn't "war" as some would have you believe, this is invasion and occupation.

What would Americans be doing if the same thing happened here? And they wonder why there is an insurgency???

The Bush regime are criminals.

Stop the madness.

1. The Marines...
...shouldn't be anywhere but home at their barracks in the US "protecting" the homeland.

2. Those commanders know
The troops are stressed, low moral, and apathy are rampant. A mind set critical of Iraqi life exist amongst the troops.

People forget, basic training is brain washing. Drill instructors undergo 52 weeks of psychological training, not shining guns and floors.

3. Yep. Only ways to win war of occupation: be willing to kill everyone
or leave everyone alone and just stay away to begin with.

Rumsfeld learned nothing from history. Cheney only sees potential to make money, human lives be damned. Rice does what she is told. bush has the attention span of a gnat so he doesn't even connect the dots from one day to the next. His opinion is that of the last person who spoke to him. Not much chance for solutions in that echo chamber.

4. You are correct
Marines are trained for war and combat. They are not trained for keeping the peace.

5. If some Chinese soldiers were here in America killing our citizens...
Edited on Thu Jun-01-06 11:34 AM by NNN0LHI
...I wonder how people would be reacting?

Would anyone be suggesting that the Chinese soldiers "just snapped" from being here on so many tours?

Highly unlikely.

6. That's suicide, even for China
"Invasion of the American mainland is impossible. It would be suicide for any army brave enough to attempt it. There would be a rifle behind each blade of grass."
