Marvin Bush dies.
No link, but according to a small article in today's St. Pete Times, Jeb Bush's dog Marvin lost his battle with cancer yesterday.

"Jeb Bush's dog has died of cancer. Marvin, the Governors Black Lab was 11. Marvin loved to eat just about anything, and enjoyed retrieving balls. Given to Bush in 1997, a year before the Governor was first elected, Marvin was named for the Governor's brother".

2. I thought you were referring to his brother
You all will laugh, but I always feel sorry for people when they lose their dogs. Even this president- I remember when I lost my Rosie 8 years ago, and how devasted I felt until I got Katie. Even then, I would be hugging Katie and crying for Rosie at the same time.

His love for his dogs is the one thing about him I do like.

14. Oh please. I know someone who works in the Jeb's vet's office
Jeb brought his doggie in a few years ago and told them that if the bill was going to be over $100 to just put the dog down. Jeb is very compassionate (not) so don't give him any sympathy.

16. why do you have any compassion
for this man? this family has NO compassion for you OR your dog. Fuck him. I love dogs but FUCK the BFEE. Do you think they have suffered anywhere NEAR as much as the families of 2471 American Soldiers in iraq? Or maybe the families of the 100,000 Iraqis ordered killed by this family? I have no sympathy for this bastard at all

20. Jeb is an EVIL man and he has hit my MAD button today!
I wish the Vet story was put in all the newspapers.

My little dog was just diagnosed with cancer.

I am beyond sad.

I just spent $1000 to keep him stable in the Emergency Hospital.

The cold " Jeb Like" doctor their told me I had 3 options...

1. Put him down,he had lost so much blood and his blood pressure was extremely low

2.They would try to keep him stable through the night

3.They could remove his spleen, that night, for $6 -8 thousand.

4. I could take him home with hospice care instructions

Through my tears and shock, I told them to do everything they could to keep him stable and I signed that they did not have to use any means necessary to keep him alive if he took another turn for the worse.

* I can't remember having to sign my initials when that much pain was in my heart

The next morning, i went to see him, thankfully they had him stable and he was licking me and wagging his tail when I got there! :)

I took him to his wonderful Vet and the Vet and I agreed that he was showing signs of happiness and that our option would be to remove the spleen, if I wanted it done, and I agreed.

He said he could remove the spleen for less than $1500.

(Notice the difference in the amounts)

As I compose this response, my sweet doggie is sitting beside me with those beautiful coal black eyes and waiting for me to play with him.

He will not be counted out! :)

Jeb has all that money and no compassion, that speaks volumes about his character!

24. Maybe that's why Jeb is signing a law allowing dogs in outdoor cafés
Gov. Bush To Sign 'Dining With Dogs' Bill

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Dogs may soon be allowed to accompany their owners out to dinner.

Gov. Jeb Bush says that on Friday he will sign a 'dining with dogs' bill. The legislation gives local governments the OK to let restaurants permit dogs to eat with their owners in outdoor dining areas.

The measure would create a three-year pilot program after which time the state would revisit the issue to determine whether it was a good idea.

Allowing dogs to dine would be up to the local city or county, and then even if local restrictions were waived to allow it, it would still be up to the restaurant owner as to whether to participate.
