1. Who's in the background?
Uhura, either Ben or Jerry (I can never tell which is which.) And Stephen Hawking?

I was ROTFL at that one. :)

It's one of the best episodes of the series. The other great one was on last night.. "The Problem with Popplers" It's the episode where Lrr eats "Smelly Hippy" and starts tripping. Lrr: "People of Earth... woah, that hippie's starting to kick in... we've all learned a valuable lesson today... dude, my hands are huge. They can touch anything but themselves... (touches his hands together). Oh, wait." :D

Remind me again why they canceled that show?

9. Gore: ...the entire space-time continuum will be destroyed,
and as an environmentalist, I am against that.

10. Al Gore:
Edited on Thu Jun-01-06 10:00 PM by sakabatou
First emperor of the Moon, he also appears when Fry returns to the year 2000 as Vice President of the United States and head of the Vice Presidential Action Rangers, tasked (by the US Constitution) to preserve the space-time continuum. He appears on the five-hundred dollar bill, where he is referred to as "my good friend Al Gore" by Bender. By the year 3000, he claims to have invented the environment and is the author of Earth in the Balance (and the much more popular Harry Potter and the Balance of Earth), in which he explains that the environment must be protected from global warming and dark wizards. Gore has said that Futurama is his favorite show.

Fry: Who are you people?
Al Gore: I'm Al Gore. And these are my vice presidential action rangers. A group of top-nerds, whose sole duty is to prevent disruptions in the space-time continuum.
Fry: I thought your sole duty was to cast the tie-breaking vote in the Senate.
Al Gore: That, and protect the space-time continuum. Read the Constitution.

12. Great episode
Coincidentially I was watching it last night on the DVD box set.

I love the fact that Al's daughter Kristin was one of the writers on the show.

13. The Vice-Presidential Action Rangers!
I so wanted to join ... until Cheney showed up.

Another episode I love is the global warming emergency conference (hosted by Al Gore's head, now "Emperor of the Moon").

Peace out, y'all!
