Ed Koch: "I think evereybody agrees she will be the Dem nominee" -Hillary
Koch, the former NY Mayor who, I believe, supported Bush over Gore in 2000:
"I think everybody agrees that she (Hillary) will be the Democratic candidate and that's not the question."

It's nice to know that traitors like Koch think they can dictate the nominee in '08

3. Regardless of what you think of Hillary Clinton personally, she'd sure...
...be a HUGE AND VERY WELCOMED improvement over what we've got in the WH now. :applause:

4. that may be
Edited on Fri Jun-02-06 09:04 AM by WI_DEM
but it's debatable, imo, if she could even win if she begins a campaign with 42% of the public stating they would never vote for her and besides who needs a turncoat like Ed Koch pretty much saying that Hillary's nomination is a forgone conclusion.

22. I didn't address the issue of whether she'd actually win the............
....nomination or not. I was simply commenting that she'd be an improvment over what we have now.

9. Yeah, but then if they dug up Richard Nixon and put him back
in the White House, that would be a HUGE AND VERY WELCOMED improvement over what we've got there now.

24. Whether Nixon would be an improvement over Bush is debatable..............
....dependent on whether a person actually lived through that time or not. To vote for Hillary I would have to plug my nose and hold my breath while pulling that lever or pushing that button but I still say she'd be an improvement. The question is not whether she'd be an improvement though, the question is how much of an improvement she'd be and in mho it would be a great stretch to say she'd be a big improvement over what we have now.

25. I agree. By the way, I was a Congressional aide on Capitol Hill
during Watergate. As horrible as Nixon was, he was a philosopher king compared to Bush.

as much as my disappointment with Matalan's husband, it'll begin to convey it.

If he'd had more integrity, I think there's no limit to how far he could have gone in politics, with the public's enthusiastic support. Like the aforesaid, immensely charismatic and humorous.

Only the GOP and Rove pushing the talking point to get their 29 percent base fired up for the 2006 election and 2008.

Nothing fires them up like the Clinton name.

It's a nice psych op, allow them to believe it. It Gives them less chance to build a defense against another candidate if they are too busy attacking one who isn't even going to run anyway.

16. Koch obviously hasn't actually listened to DEMOCRATS on that...
I don't PERSONALLY know any Dem who supports Clinton for the nom...it just a rw ploy to fire up the base.

If she runs, I'll vigorously work for one of her opponents in the primary.

26. This is a small part of the MSM effort to make HRC's nomination look
inevitable. Why? Because she either can't win/will lead by a stealable margin. They are frightened to death of Gore who would beat the pants off any GOP nominee. "Beat the pants off" means being so overwhelmingly the choice of the nation that the GOP simply cannot steal the election.
