Welfare employees were let go in Key West too.

Miami never had enough money to begin with and 400 is a lot of people to go - more newly poor?

what? in another month or so america's mortuary's will be getting more business? or is business up already. there should be stats.

have no link for this, was just talking to one of the laid off employees.

1. And that's in addition to the cuts Bush wants in the next budget.
If he gets a lot cut out of the social services programs, a lot of people will be losing welfare, food stamps, housing assistance, even WIC for mothers and children.

Yep, that Bush is one fine president. I keep writing my congressmen, but haven't heard back from any of them recently (think its because they're all republicans?). Must be too busy thinking up more ways to stick it to the poor in this country.
