1. It's possible
The 2 Dems have gone neg on each other, tearing each other apart, while Arnold stays clean and take the high road.
I'm not a Californian, but I bet it's safe to say it's just temporary.

2. After Tuesday's primary, Dems will likely coalesce around their winner
and the distinction between one blue Dem and the idiotic incumbent will be much sharper.

The poll taken following Tuesday's outcome will be the one to watch.

11. I trust California Democrats to rally behind the nominee and get that
irritating moron out of the Governor's chair.

Go, Dems.

26. katty, no kidding -- a lot of us will be rooting for you on that.
You'll feel the anti-Arnold vibe sweep across the Sierra Nevadas like a reverse zephyr. A strong, blue wind!

3. no, that is what the latest field poll indicated
but in my view the reason for that is because the election is NOT until November, and the primaries will choose who he will be running against.

I am voting for Wesley in the primaries, but will vote for whoever wins the Democratic primary for Govenor

I wouldn't be too worried until after the primaries. That is one reason I am voting for Wesley, I feel he is much more articulate and appealing

A month from now will be the real test

5. Most Americans now have shit for brains.
Edited on Fri Jun-02-06 04:39 PM by Gregorian
If not, Bush would have never gotten close enough to get where he is, let alone gov of Texas.

I'm sorry if this statement offends. And of course, it's my subjective opinion. But there is an undeniable truth to it. We're in trouble. Lobsters in warming water. If one were to look at the original state, and final state, it would be very obvious. But it has changed in shades, very slowly.

Do a Wiki on George Washington. Just a brief bio on him will tell you everything you need to know. America is now about money. Not freedom.

edit- And Washington was a wealthy man. I find that even more damning, considering his sacrifices.

9. I saw that report on CNN
Angelides and Westly have both run the most dismal, uninspired campaigns. I'm hoping that after Tuesday we can unite and kick some serious Terminator ass. I'm hoping people are reminded that Ahnode was involved with the Enron energy "crisis" mess (bring on those ads morphing his face into Kenny Boy's).

Talk about a road wreck of a campaign ... I'm sure her ads are nauseating but hilarious at the same time.

25. Truly Funny.... I've Even Gotten Mail From Her!!
How THIS ever happened is beyond the pale! I've written and called her far too many times for her and her staff to NOT KNOW that she should EVER even begin with me!

But then again, that just shows how MUCH she ignored me in the first place!!!

I actually had the opportunity to see her at Barnes & Noble one day! What a trip!! She's soooooooo full of herself!

12. May 26 poll: Westly 50% vs Arnie 40%, Angelides 46% vs Arnie 45%
May 26th LA Times

"Westly v. Schwarzenegger : If the November election was held today, Westly would capture 50% of the vote, while Schwarzenegger would receive 40%. In April Westly led by 48% to 39%."

"Angelides v. Schwarzenegger: Angelides and Schwarzenegger are virtually tied (46% for Angelides v.
45% for Schwarzenegger) if the November election were held today. They also were tied in April (43%
each)."

15. Interesting ... I'm leaning toward Westly and now am glad
L.A. Weekly (alternative paper) just endorsed Westly and since I was ready to toss a coin to choose between these two beige guys, I'll go for him. All the better that he has a bigger lead over Arnie (which will only grow after the primary, I'm hoping).

16. I will vote for Westly in the primaries because I believe
he is the better candidate, not only for winning against Arnold, but also on his positions

However, if Angelides wins the primary I will vote for him in the general election, which I do believe will be a very tough one for him to win

24. I'm with you. I think Westly will do better in the general election than
Angelides, but I will be happy to vote for Angelides if he gets the nomination.

husband is a Republican but she said he can't stand Ahhnold and is voting for Angelides. Lets hope more Republicans feel this way.

19. so sick of the ads
I don't like either of them anymore. Am seriously considering voting for one of the lesser known candidates in the primary. But, in November, of course will vote for whoever is the Dem candidate.

20. Arnie just semi-caved on the border issue
which probably means the GOP is giving him some support they were holding back. But I think Arnie is toast.
