1. They're
term limited - so have to switch to another office. It is peculiar.

2. My state senator (Nell Soto) is running for state assembly.
My state assemblyperson (Gloria MacLeod) is running for state senate.
They should both win easily and switch.

Didn't think about term limits, but that's what's happening here.

4. Garamendi never took a dime from the insurance companies as commissioner

Sent checks that the insurance co. sent to him back...Don't know why he's running for a nothing job like LT. Guv?

Usually Lt. Guv is just a stepping stone to run for Governor in the future...But the insurance companies are sending big bucks against him...because he would play ball with them...All the other Dem's (and regugs) running for both jobs have taken money from the insurance lobby.

Garamendi may be in trouble with the big insurance bucks targeting him.
