This is but one incident of many. I cannot fathom what has caused the level of atrocities we are witnessing in this war. War is hell, always, but this one in particular seems to have spawned levels of degradation I have not heard of American soldiers perpetrating before. What the hell are we putting those troops through that they become capable of such things? Madness.

5. There have been wars before

I guess it's more a question of what those soldiers brought into the war within themselves. They were brainwashed to feel hate, sure, but I guess it's more a case of lifelong cultural brainwashing. It's American arrogance, the blinding assumption of somehow being superior, that is committing these war crimes.
And the scary thing is, Americans at war exactly confirm by their actions all the prejudices the rest of the world has against the U.S. .
Imagine being a relative of a family murdered in Haditha, on whose side would you be? Makes you think.

3. It is being shown to the wrong people

any one who has read a thing on war knows this is going to happen and more so with who we have has leaders. It is a culture thing and is worst as it filters down from the top. After all all those men know what they can get away with and they know what the private armies can get away with. The people who should see it are still shooting the messenger.
