Are we heading for another "Great Depression?"
Edited on Sat Jun-03-06 08:55 AM by im10ashus
Although I always felt "Great Depression" was a contradiction in terms (what's so great about depression?), I read the following, and it got me wondering:

Amount by which Americans’ total spending last year exceeded their earnings:
$41,600,000,000

Last year in which spending outstripped earnings: 1933

With the stock markets fluctuating so wildly, and the dollar in the toilet, is this inevitable?
