Maybe this belongs in the Lounge, but

what am I to make of two stories I came across this week?

The first insisted that the "shots fired in the Rayburn Building" was actually a fire fight between US and French agents trying to arrest some British Black Ops agents who had been working on a fake terrorist incident involving an attack on the North-East corridor rail road. (As a bonus, the story also said that Blair was smuggled out of the US on a secret flight to avoid arrest)

The second story indicated that ABC had received documents from Home Security stating that the greatest threat was an attack on the NYC to Washington DC Amtrak train.

Was ABC handed the documents to set the stage for a fake attack that didn't come off? Was this merely a coincidence? Does DU need a wild paranoid story that may be true forum?

As for this story, jeez, what can you say? Half these wild, nutso things are probly true, but which half? Maybe half of them are Rove plants intended to make the other half sound implausible as well.
