1. Ohhh, for the FULL HOUR, as Timmy says!
But of course, he usually does a single guest on that effort.

I'd tune in, but I can't stand his sweaty, pig-eyed self today!

4. Oh great - Kos doesn't believe in voting machine fraud and Russert
probably knew it when he booked him.

11. I'm not watching - I'm just figuring that Russert would pull a stunt like
that - book a Dem name that doesn't believe in election fraud and let HIM be the one to refute the Kennedy article.

See - I don't trust Russert.

17. Ok - caught some of it and am not thrilled.
While I agree it's the Dem infrastructure that needs fixing, I'm not buying the Feingold AND Warner support. It seems to me you support Feingold because he ISN'T a centrist like Warner and you support Warner because he ISN'T a progressive like Feingold. Kinda smells.

18. Kos' message seems to be that we should support every Democrat...
...except Senator Joe Lieberman (D-CT).

Why Lieberman is bad but Bob Casey, Jr (Democratic candidate for US Senate from Pennsylvania) is good is beyond me.

Casey wants to outlaw abortion and Casey said he would have voted to confirm Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court.

21. No
Kos believes in fighting out those progressive battles in the primaries, but that once the general election comes around, it is almost always better to support the Democrat. He also believes that you can't get a Ted Kennedy Democrat into every office across the land. The Dems have to pay more attention to the local flavor while building a progressive movement long term.

22. D.C. bubble
He supports both because they aren't trapped in the D.C. bubble. As he explained, it's about getting politicians who support core Democratic values as opposed to having a checklist (which Walter Mondale scores high on).

24. What core values does Bob Casey Jr have?
Not civil liberties: he said he would have voted to confirm Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court.

Not women's civil rights: he wants to outlaw abortion.

14. These two guys are representative of how brilliant the Democratic party is
I could hardly be prouder. Markos isn't swayed by Jabba the Hut's evil framing of the questions. It's great to watch.

Damn you guys! I haven't watched these programs on CNN and MSNBC before. It's dreadful. Yuck. This guy Russert must be Jabba the Hut's lovechild.

16. I really think Russert warmed up to them in the end.
It was quite comforting to see the barriers lowered between the opposing parties.

Of course, Markos having been a republican really lends him credibility.

Just a great interview. Full of truth.

19. I loved his description of how proud he was of his military service,
how it allowed him to get a college education, how it opened his eyes and made him realize that we as a society are only as strong as its weakest link. He said that it was his experience in the military that made him change political affiliation.

He made a great point in saying that because of Bush's deadly occupation of Iraq, that poorer Americans are now unwilling to join the military and thus will never have the opportunities that he had.

If you didn't see this interview, watch it when it reruns later tonight.

20. Absolutely.
And what's more, he opened my eyes. I have been adamantly opposed to anyone who dons a uniform. Well, it's not that simple, as he described from his own experience. So, I learned a lesson. All is not what it seems.

These, I think, are the days where we are going to be coming into our stide. After these nearly ten years of being bullied about, we have power in knowledge. And we're up to bat.
