Is anyone else having trouble finding the Rolling Stone with the RFK jr...
...article in it?

I just went to 3 different stores (Kroger, Wal-Mart, and a Super Wal-Mart) and didn't find it in any of them.

The regular size Wal-Mart had the 1000th issue RS, but not the new one.

Do you think it's selling out, or are they not stocking it?

2. If you go to a regular bookstore, they can special order it for
you if it's out of stock. In the meantime, here's the link to the online article:

10. Thanks, I've read the first section and 1/2 of section two...
...but for some reason, it's printing out at an eye-strainingly small font...Plus I really want a "hard copy" of it to keep or pass around to the other liberals in my family who might have missed it.

12. i copied and pasted all four pages of the online article in a
works program (the one i open to write a letter) and it came out to 19 pages with a #12 font size. i just finished reading it about ten minutes ago. and the only eye strain is that it's late & i'm tired.

the majority of the article is things we already knew--at least those of us who were obsessive about this--but i think it's great that robert kennedy wrote it and rolling stone put it out there.

16. Yes, most of what I've read so far in it, I already knew from what I read
...here at DU. Some of it is new info to me, but I also like how it's all in one place, with good foot notes, thanks to Mr. Kennedy's article.

I already gave my Mother all of my first print-out, she's a very fast reader (She reads about a 150-200 page book every night) and She has a Copy machine at home, so if she can handel the small font (I bet it's #8 or #9) She might make copies for her friends.

Since I already gave my copy away, I'm going to try to get it to print it larger until I can find a "hard copy".

Peace. :hippie:

15. You're welcome. I just posted the link so you could read it before
you continued your hunt for the hard copy. Good Luck!

Why do you hate US?

Do you not have access to a genuine community store?

Are those monsters your only sources for RollngStone?

Seriously, just asking.

Seriously.

5. It was late, and all the good stores were already closed...
...plus, if you never go to those stores to see what they are NOT stocking, how will you ever know what to bitch at them about?

I always think it's a good idea to know my enemy. That's one of the problems with the folks here, they have stopped checking out the MSM "news" sources, so they don't know 1/2 of the crap that "they" are saying about us, or what they are telling the lemmings to do and think.

9. I just cannot do it...
I get this greasy feeling when I exit those big boxes.

Like they stole a little bit of me.

I have never been inside a Wal-Mart.

Lord, forgive me.

14. I don't go to WalMart either...but do frequent Kroger.
Kroger employees fare better than people who work at Whole Foods.

4. Yes, it took me two days to find it. Barnes and Noble (sp) had it,
but only three copies including mine.
I went to two separate malls and a supermarket until I found it.

7. That's what I'll have to do, most likely. I have a couple of Borders...
...and a few B&N's not too far from me.

Do you know if Rolling Stone is a Weekly or a Monthly and what day of the week/month the new issue comes out?

What's on the cover so I'll know without having to find the Contents page?

6. If you have a copy and are done with it...
drop it off in a waiting room somewhere. Doctors or mechanics...

Pass-along value.

Edited on Mon Jun-05-06 03:14 AM by TheGoldenRule
because I'd already read it online. However I'm gonna go back and buy it then leave it in a dr. or dentists office so it'll get more exposure as suggested upthread.

13. My local Stop & Shop only has the February edition of Rolling Stone
And they don't have The Dixie Chicks.

They have Pink's "I'm Not Dead" album, but no Chicks!

17. Update: Yes, I found a copy at Borders Books!
They had a stack of them about 10 high sitting in front of the other magazines, I'm not sure if that's a good sign, because they have so many, or a bad sign (they aren't selling?).

BTW, it's the Red Hot Chili Peppers on the cover. :kick:
