The original poll is here:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=364&topic_id=1352779&mesg_id=1352779Methodology: the nine most prominent potential candidates for the Democratic presidential nomination were listed in alphabetical order, without comment by me; the poll was posted to GD last night, around 8:30 central time. The nine candidates were (alphabetically):
Evan Bayh

Russ Feingold
(10 votes, 8%)

(2 votes, 2%)
Joe Lieberman
(1 votes, 1%)
Evan Bayh

My thoughts: It's no surprise that Gore polls well among DUers. I think most of us are looking for an Alpha Progressive with a handle on policy AND ideology to be the next Dem candidate for the presidency, and Gore seems more and more to fit the bill. Clark did well, too, though my guess is that this poll may have slipped under the radar for some of his supporters here on DU.
Surprises: What happened to Kerry? It's possible that most DU Kerry supporters have me on their ignore lists, I suppose. Or maybe they were all watching "Grey's Anatomy" or something last night, and not surfing DU. A third possibility, of course, is that the Kerry supporters on DU are vocal beyond their actual numbers. Maybe somebody should check the exit polls. And what's up with Hillary? TWO votes? Wow. Not exactly a groundswell of support from the grassroots.
