Situation involving local police. Conflict of interest?
The little "outpost" where I live is very far off the beaten path. It is a huge subdivision that was developed in the 60s but hasn't seen very much influx in population until recently. There are about 5000 people living here. There is a small town center with the essential, grocery store, gas station, one or two restaurants, etc. Any way with the influx of people here there has been a lot of new building outside of the town center along the highway. One building in particular a smallish warehouse was built by a local cop. There have been rumors as to what is going in there and it sounds like he has changed his mind several times from restaurant to art gallery, to local handicrafts to day care facility. The County Police have a small substation in the town center that they mostly use to fill out paper work. I recently found out that they didn't renew their lease on the space. The reason? They are going to move into the building that was built by and owned by this other cop. When I heard this I could not believe it. This is a huge conflict of interest is it not? Oh yeah, the cops here are super corrupt. There were allegations that they sexually abused a young girl and gave here crystal methamphetamine in that other substation.

1. Pass the info along to state troopers
They might be able to investigate it from a higher level.

3. Then I would go with the feds
Or at the minimum contact your local/federal reps and talk to them about it. They can be very helpful.
