So when I go to bed tonight, should I grab my husband extra close
and pray that there aren't any gay people around to threaten our marriage?

31 years ago this Friday we were married. Never once have I felt a threat against my marriage by a gay person. Am I just naive? All these years I thought I was being tolerant. But now I wonder. What if a gay couple moves in down the street? Should I take that as a threat to my marriage?

BTW, Haditha and Iran have been on my mind more lately than gay marriage. Am I just in denial here?

9. (an early) HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to you and your husband
Thank gawd for bill frist and the radical christian clerics that seek to keep homosectionals out of our bedrooms, praise the lord! You guys and us guys are pushing 65 years of marriage and not a hiccup from the gay community! We must be the chosen ones. Praise the lord again and again. Fuck haditha. Those who value life are doing just that. We have more important things to tend to like gay sex and burning flags. I just gotta praise the lord one more time.

11. There has been a gay couple living on my street for more than 10 years now

It's a miracle, I tell you, that my husband and I have managed to keep our marriage together. :sarcasm:

There is so much hate and indifference in this world. How sick is it that people need to legislate a ban on the public profession of love?

What the world needs now is love,
Sweet love
It's the only thing
That there's just too little of
What the world needs now
Is love, sweet love
No, not just for some,
But for everyone

15. Oh yes, be very afraid of the gays.
We are all out to convert you straight people, did you not know that?!?!?! Have you not been paying attention to your President?!?!?!?!?

You see, it's really not good enough for us to just co-exist peacefully. We have a secret agenda, known only to a very few outside of the gay community. That agenda includes converting as many straight people as we possibly can. It's true! There aren't enough gay people as it is, so we want more!

And there are lots of people in on the conspiracy. Look with a suspicious eye to all celebrities that gay people admire, or are friendly to gays: Cher, Liz Taylor, etc., as they are all in on it too.

Once the plan goes into full force, there will not be a single marriage that can withstand the gay assault! Men will leave their wives on the night of their 50th Anniversary so they can have a gay one niter!

Yes indeed, hold onto that husband of yours because we're coming to get him!

:sarcasm:

18. My wife and I have been together
for 9 years. Both Women. You don't have to worry about us, we are too busy in our own neighborhood threatening our neighbors hetero marriages. I wish we could qualify for some kind of loan and just make this our full time job. It's hard work.....but dammit, it's part of the agenda. ;)

19. Have you looked into government grants?
I think if you showed some initiative and wrote some proposals, the government might come through with some grants that could turn your agenda into a full time job.

21. I had an epiphany at the grocery story today.
There I was in the checkout aisle, scanning the latest tabloids as I waited, and what do I see on "The Globe" but an article indicating Shrub and Laura are talking divorce. Maybe the resurrection of the gay marriage issue is a way to divert attention from what's really happening: Shrub, Laura and Condi. I swear if MSM starts reporting this I might get religion.
