Is Randi insinuating that * is gay/bi?
Edited on Mon Jun-05-06 02:58 PM by Opusnone
This is scandalous. Could it be libelous?

haven't checked this site page mentioned:

http://bushssecretlifein84.tripod.com/

Candidate for Governor of Nevada Leola McConnell confirming that * and Victor Ash (sp?) current ambassador to Poland were involved in gay/bi acts in 1984.

Coming out because of * hypocrisy.

a snippet

"The Las Vegas woman was paid $15,000 to arrange sexual liaisons involving bisexual men for George W. Bush (then private citizen) and Victor Ashe (then a Tennessee State Senator). These adulterous bisexual affairs (3 encounters in all-3 different cities) took place in the state of Tennessee during the 1984 senate debates between, Al Gore, Jr., Victor Ashe and Ed McAteer. An African-American woman was invited to participate in this adulterous sexual encounter with George W. Bush and Victor Ashe immediately following the Chattanooga senatorial debate. This woman was paid $1,500. A few years later the Las Vegas woman was detained in Washington D.C. with Victor Ashe by the Metro D.C. police. She was released but Victor was taken into custody."

One might think back to Cannon's time in/time out in the visitor log at the WH. He didn't always leave the same day he arrived.

does being gay relate to war fascination or blood-lust?

121. No, I do not see any relation
between being gay and war-fascination and blood-lust, as the poster stated.

And I don't think his blood-lust is merely an act "trying to convince others". I think he is a genuine sociopath.

122. How it all ties together:
On the surface, being gay or bisexual wouldn't seem to have anything to do with being a warmongering sociopath. One can easily be one without the other. But in W's case I believe there's a common denominator: considering himself "above the law" in EVERY aspect of life. For him, antinomianism is the ultimate turn-on. I think he actually gets off on being a hypocrite! It makes him think he's really put one over on his lamebrain fundie supporters as well as his enemies, and that gives him a feeling of power.

127. He may well get off on being a hypocrite.
I do not accept the poster's comment:

"I've always thought that * is gay.... And it would explain the war fascination, the blood-lust."

The poster has not explained the comment.

To say that if one is gay, it would "explain" blood-lust, or that one 'chooses' to be gay or 'chooses' to be a sociopath for the sheer fun of being a hypocrite is asinine.

He may or may not be gay. He is clearly a sociopath, but these are not related in any manner and they are not choices.

The linking of being gay with a reason for being a warmongering sociopath is despicable.

I can't believe I'm reading this crap here.

136. I think that what the poster meant is that
Bush is over compensating. If you was a gay man who's family's lust for power would have forced to stay in the closet in order to be able to achieve power thanks a a Christian base, would'nt you be fucking ticked off all the time?

Add to that Monkey Boy's clear arrogance and the theory makes sense.

I'm not saying the theory is true, but I am sure the poster was not making a direct relation between being gay and being bloodthursty and greedy.

141. With all due respect, Winter.. just trying to help out here..
I think it's about Bush repudiating (unconsciously, perhaps) the fact that he's gay. So he redoubles his efforts to prove how "manly" he is. That he is is a sociopath, I have absolutely no doubt. Been saying so for a long time. :evilfrown:

159. I've never met a gay man who had "blood-lust" or "war fascination"
so her comment makes absolutely no sense to me and she has not bothered to explain herself.

Bush is a sociopath. Bush has a lust for blood and a fascination with sending others to war. None of which has a thing to do with his sexuality, and I resent her attempt to connect them.

I'm straight but I'm not going to sit silent while someone equates being gay with blood-lust. That is just wrong.

Sorry if I seem edgy.

163. Let me clarify...
First of all, I went back and looked at SharonAnn's post, and you're correct in one sense. It does sound as if she's saying that blood-lust etc. follows from being gay. Another poster as well as myself tried to clarify that, perhaps thinking she didn't mean it in that way, the assumption being that we all know how the written word sometimes comes out totally different than what you thought you said.

Because there's no way I can determine what she really meant, I hope she'll drop by and clarify this.

Now to your other points: You'll get no argument from me that Bush is a sociopath. Actually, I'm a licensed clinical social worker (although not working in the field, currently). I've been terrified for a long time, knowing how dangerously mentally ill he is. In addition to which, there's some sort of organic brain dysfunction going on, too. Bad, bad news!

As to the bloodlust/gay issue, I do think, and let me be clear about this, that Bush's bloodlust is rooted in (among other things) his REPUDIATION and DISGUST at the idea that he is gay (I would say "bisexual" is more accurate). Thus, he has to overcompensate by strutting, swaggering, and engaging in various "macho" behaviors.

I have gay friends and they're gentle, loving people. But they're not eaten-up by self-loathing. They're comfortable with who they are, unlike Bush. How many times have you read, on this board, that Bush doesn't seem comfortable in his own skin? I rest my case. :)

OMG this is really inappropriate behavior- I was informed some time ago that this kind of intrusive touching of someone you are not on intimate terms with indicates a feeling of superiority on the part of the groper (and this is a grope, oh yeah). It's like he's leaving his "mark" like my cats. He'd probably spray them if he could, let's ask Jeff G.

His own fear and self-hatred are what is disgusting, not his being gay or bi-. It is not what he IS that is bad, but what HE feels about what he is, and how he uses those feelings to arouse hate and fear in others.

There's prostitution rolled up in there, too.

I'm no lawyer, maybe someone who is can chime in, but I would think that saying someone was involved in a crime is a bit heavier than calling someone a homosexual.

Who would have thunk it?
But then again, I recall one morning in Crawford when he thought it momentuous enough that he got it on with Pickles, "the lump in the bed" to alert the media. Literally. he proudly shared the accomplishment. Healthy, heterosexual men stop being amazed by such feat once they get a steady girlfriend - usually in their teen years.

If so,let's see...

Condi

Poppy
Mary Cheney
Lynnie
Laura Pickles Bush
etc.,etc.,etc.

People that live in GLASS houses should not throw stones and hurt other people on this planet.

I support the Civil Rights of Homosexuals.

If Dimson is a homosexual and is using this fake amendment as a "wedge issue" then, OUT HIM!

I don't have a damn bit of sympathy for him or Mary Cheney or anyone else that does harm to homosexuals!

114. wow it is worth a visit to her website
This lady actually has some serious and intelligent
things to say.

(I thought she would be a sort of "ringer")

"The neo-cons and their agents in the MSM (mainstream media) will try to
discredit my candidacy for Governor by waving these adult indiscretions.
If being a neo-con extremist, in and of itself, doesn't exclude
Congressman Jim Gibbons from running, along with working hand in
hand with his predatory capitalist, D.C. Beltway, greedy-grabber
cronies bent on malicious knavery to destroy Nevada by chopping up
our resources (human and mineral),then nothing will exclude him.

The neo-cons pretend to be conservatives but they aren't really Conservatives
at all. Ask yourself (if you're a Republican - the rest of us have already
done the math on this one) what conservative starts a unilateral war in
the Middle East that has cost America 1/3 of a trillion dollars (320 billion)
thus far by invading the wrong country (Iraq) that had nothing to do with
the attacks of 9-11. Would former President Ronald Reagan have
undertaken such a foolhardy enterprise without thoroughly reviewing
it from every conceivable angle?

95. and the text of this email from leola mcconnell is:
"President Bush's speech to the nation Monday. If he doesn't say he's a gay American or at the least a bisexual one then he shouldn't be making one at all. And the notion that it would be in regards to writing bigotry into our nation's Constitution is reprehensible. Too bad it isn't me doing the rebuttal because in 1984, I watched him perform (with the enthusiasm of homosexual male who had done this many times before) a homosexual act on another man, namely Victor Ashe. Victor Ashe is the current Ambassador to the nation of Poland who should also come out like former Governor McGreevey of New Jersey and admit to being a gay American. Other homo-erotic acts were also performed by then private citizen George Bush because I performed one of them on him personally.

I am the woman this website (bushssecretlifein84.tripod.com) speaks of that has been posted on the net nearly two years now. None of this would be the business of anyone but President Bush's little ruse to save his failed presidency by using DOMA to divide Americans one from the other has to be exposed as the act of a desperate closeted homosexual man. The only crime in being GLBT is in the hiding. The President needs to come clean with the American people about his own past sexual behavior before he tries to besmirch the humanity of people in search of sincerely committing to the same bonds of matrimony he's afforded. He violated his own vows of monogamy having a homosexual affair with a long time family friend of whom his wife had no knowledge. His hypocrisy seems to know no bounds.

I had planned to run for governor of Nevada without going into any of this but his planned nationally televised address to the nation makes it necessary for me to address his attempt at division in as public a way as he picked to try this Bushification of reality regarding same sex marriages.

Sincerely,
Leola McConnell
Liberal Democratic candidate for Governor of Nevada"

26. Bush's Boyfriend

Bush's Boyfriend

Bush's Evangelical Base Will Be Shocked
BUSH'S BOYFRIEND Forget the Smear Against John Kerry
Victor H. Ashe was the Mayor of Knoxville, Tennessee from 1988 to January, 2004. Ashe was a member of the U.S. Conference of Mayors Executive Committee and a past President of the U.S. Conference of Mayors. Mr. Ashe has been a Fannie Mae director since 2001. He was appointed by George W. Bush. In 1984, then-Democratic Rep. Albert Gore triumphed in the key race for the Tennessee Senate seat of retiring Senate Republican leader Howard Baker, defeating Republican Victor Ashe. Skull and Bones initiation antics: ....Then the potential candidates perform sexual ceremonies even with some homosexual overtones. Later, they "lay naked in coffins and tell their deepest and darkest sexual secrets as part of their initiation." (Esquire Magazine, “The Last Secret of Skulls and Bones, “Ron Rosenbaum, p. 85) The coffin is full of manure and this takes place in a place called “The Tomb” within the Skull and Bones Crypt. In the Tomb, their whole sex life and other deep, personal details are completely revealed with shockingly new members engage in homosexual acts while they lay in a coffin. George W. Bush admitted his affinity to the Skulls and Bones in Time Magazine. Bush on Meet the Press: RUSSERT: You were both in Skull & Bones, the secret society. BUSH: It so secret we can't talk about it. RUSSERT: What does that mean for America? The conspiracy theorists are going to go wild. BUSH: I'm sure they are. I don't know. I haven't seen the Web pages yet. RUSSERT: Number 322? It’s known by many sources that George W. Bush in 1968 was performing homosexual acts with his male sex-mate and Yale roommate Mayor Ashe of Knoxville, TN. While mayor, Ashe made several unscheduled visits to the White House and, according to US Secret Service sources, Bush made at least 8 unscheduled and unannounced trips to Knoxville while he has been President. Ashe is suspected of two arrests. One was in Washington DC and the other was in Atlanta, while he was a Tennessee state legislator. They allegedly involved arrests while he was picking up male tranvestite prostitutes in public restrooms. Ashe was allegedly introduced on live TV as "The gay mayor from Knoxville" at a national mayor's conference in San Francisco. Mayor Ashe also refused to change Knoxville's Gay Street's name to something less, er...., gay. . As for Matt Drudge, who has decided to work with Karl Rove to smear John Kerry with tripe about an "intern," this speaks volumes: A book by Jeannette Walls's has an interview in it with a purported former Drudge boyfriend, David Cohen, who recalls that Drudge once hung out with a gay group and "loved to do wild, provocative things to draw attention to himself." A "perturbed" Drudge tells Brett Sokol of the Miami New Times: "I go to bars. I go to straight bars, I go to gay bars. never said there was sex; she said there was dating. She never had enough to go that far." And as far as K. "Edgar" Rove is concerned: "Washington is awash with stories of Rove's Hooveresque off-hours antics (as in J. Edgar Hoover)." also: "anti-tax activist Grover Norquist is a close advisor to President Bush and Karl Rove. Norquist is a supporter of the Republican Unity Coalition, an ad hoc gay group that supports George W. Bush. Grover Norquist’s best friend is Karl Rove."

Vice President Dick Cheney , left, talks with Victor Ashe, United States Ambassador to Poland, right, as White House Chief of Staff Andy Card, center, and Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz, far right, look on during President Bush 's meeting with Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005 in Washington.

Rumors

There is a rumor on the net that Victor Ashe and George W. Bush have been gay lovers. The source of this rumor is Sherman Skolnick. He seems to be the sole source of this and many other rumors. Before Kitty Kelley’s book “The Family: The Real Story of the Bush Dynasty” was released, Skolnick claimed that her book substantiated his assertions. He also accused her of using him as an unnamed source. Upon being published, the book was absent of nearly all of his claims. Unsubstantiated rumors about Victor Ashe include:

· Ashe was arrested twice in drag for picking up homosexual prostitutes in public restrooms in Washington D.C. and Atlanta, Georgia.

· Peter Jennings introduced Ashe on national TV in San Francisco as "The gay mayor from Knoxville."

· Ashe wanted to rename Gay Street to "Gay Way."

· Ashe’s mother was arrested for hit-and-run while hiding out at the mayor’s house.

· The National Enquirer in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida was shut down by the F.B.I. for “Anthrax” after 9/11 because they had pictures of Ashe engaged in a Skull & Bones homosexual ritual.

· George W. Bush and Ashe have had a long-term homosexual affair. It is widely reported that they have spent much private time together over the years including their time as roommates at Yale, a seven city tour when Ashe was running for the U.S. Senate, numerous stays by Ashe at the White House, visits by Bush to Ashe in Knoxville, and other trips together without Laura Bush.

· Ashe and Bush would rendezvous at a Tennessee location owned by the purported top financier of Osama Bin Laden.

· Paul O'Neill was sacked as Treasury Chief because he was unable to stop Secret Service agents from leaking the Ashe affair to the press, or from quitting their jobs in disgust.

· The “Red Chinese Secret Police” have used the Bush/Ashe affair to get secrets out of the White House.

· Ashe was nominated Ambassador to Poland because the press had learned about the Bush/Ashe affair and because Ashe has AIDS.

Interesting facts

In 1974, a Judge ruled that Ashe’s run for the Tennessee State Senate was illegal because he would turn 30, the minimum age to serve, after the election. Ashe’s mother ran instead, was elected, and resigned after her first day in office and appointed her son Senator (KnoxNews December 14, 2003).
Speaker John Wilder once offered him $10 to sit down and shut up (KnoxNews December 14, 2003).
His opponent in his 1978 re-election bid, Carl Warner, took a swing at him after Ashe made what Warner termed a snide remark (KnoxNews December 14, 2003).
The only political race he lost was to Al Gore, Jr. in 1984 for the U.S. Senate. (KnoxNews December 14, 2003).
Ashe opposed the referendum on term limits that resulted in his inability to run for a 5th term as mayor.
John Lee sued the City Corporation and its individual agents, including Mayor Victor Ashe, for illegally towing his Honda automobile, without a parking ticket. The City Inc. then denied that they had towed it for over six weeks, and listed the vehicle as "stolen" in the National Criminalistics Information Computer (NCIC), operated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI). This resulted in a $700 towing and storage bill from the Corporation's contractor, Sutherland Avenue Wrecker Service. (read more).
Ashe was George W. Bush’s roommate at Yale and they were both on the Cheerleading Squad together.

First it was Ashe, then Laura for a while, then JimmyJeff, then it was Condi, now it's Ashe again, occasionally Laura, probably Barney, and he's been screwing the entire country for 5 1/2 years nonstop. No wonder he walks funny -- the poor boy must be chapped raw!

73. As I recall, this first came up
about two years ago when Kitty Kelley's book on the BFEE came out. IIRC, it was even discussed on Randi's show at the time.

As Randi said this PM, the web site mentioned in the OP has been around about that long; the news is that McConnell has come forward as the "Las Vegas woman".

KKK members don't secretly wish they were black.
Nazis didn't secretly wish they were Jewish.
Nativists didn't secretly wish they were Irish.
Protestants don't secretly wish they were Catholics.
The Taliban doesn't secretly wish they are tolerant.

She's pulled this shit on Ashcroft, Rove, Scotty, Fatwell, Robertson, and any other of the rightwing homophobes out there. Hatred is just hatred. There is no secret motivation to homophobia (yes I know about the penis wire experiments). It's just bigotry, which is emotional, but for the majority of them, not so deep as to be hiding secret desires for dick.:eyes:

I love her. She's the Goddess. She can speak up for me whenever she wants, but on this, she is off her rocker!

Besides, not all of us want to help her shop for shoes!:puke: for me, being gay buys me 5 more minutes of shopping time. After that, it's time to look for a bar and a Space Shooter game.

...for a great fall. I haven't read too deeply into this story (isn't it tabloid?) but just the way it smells...it smells like the way Dan Rather was set up: He couldn't verify the source (was never proven fake, just uncorraborated).

Also, with that one black guy who claimed to be ex-Army Rangers and involved in atrocities in Bagdhad turned out to be a total fraud. Who is this person making these new extrordinary claims about Bush being bi?

I hope Randi knows WTF she is doing is all. I don't like seeing people I enjoy get taken down.

140. people! people!... can we just stick with the issue..
I know it's tempting to pursue shrub having a bi affair, and a fun and salacious scandal, but i just think going about it this way is signature Republican political tactics of personal assassination. Rather that focusing on the merits, or lack of merits of an issue, I would rather take the high road and not dig up personal rumors of 20 years ago. There fact that this issue is a priority of this administration given our current circumstances, and only 3/1000 Americans recently polled have it as a priority, and that it is basically political pandering using discrimination, it is clearly enough fodder for politic gain and would put us in a higher moral position. Pandering with tin hat rumors doesn't help our cause in my view.

154. Deep down inside I want to agree with you but..
I think we have taken the "high road" too many times in the past, that's why the republicans have the House, Senate and Presidency. I think it has hurt us that we don't play their game as much as we do. Although I feel uneasy about it, it just isn't right to see what they are doing to this country and I think we need to kick it up a notch if we are ever going to do anything about it.

160. ok i see your point, but...
I think most of the American people are on to their sleazy games now, fed up with the political tone, and not willing to pandered to anymore. The rules are changing to this game and i think here we have a perfect storm of disgust with Republican politics, tactics and corruption, desire for real action, and if we play their game of character assassination instead of really facing the issues that matter to people, i don't see how we gain? If fact i think it weakens out position, people will say: "oh those Democrats are just like Republicans" and just be alienated from the process. I agree the high road has been a failure in the past because of their propaganda machine, but i don't think that means it's not a good strategy now. The other concern i have is the credibility thing, and could this be another Rovian plot to discredit the liberal media? I'm all for fun, but we are facing very serious issues (iraq, iran, peak oil, global warming, gas prices, economic disparity, trade deficits/budget deficits, health care crisis, medicare and SS underfunding, pension collapse, Katrina aftermath, corporate and media corruption, net neutrality), and i don't think a salacious rumor should distract from the real issues. This is an old story that has never been substantiated, and what if it turns out to be untrue and all the energy wasted, public air time, and credibility lost, instead of addressing the merits of the issue, the political pandering, and wildly out of proportion priorities of this administration and congress? Better strategy in my view.
