Could the 'week of the pandering' have anything to do with this?

Of course not.

Check out who a poster blames...

1. For myself, it's because I've lost faith in the VOTERS.
Others may have different reasons.

7. It's my belief that those entities have the power they do primarily...
... because the voters have fallen asleep on the job for a very long time...

The power of those entities is, in my opinion, PARASITIC on the power of the voters to willingly screw themselves, and vote away their rights and vote against their interests.

But like I said - other people's thought about "primary causes" may vary - those are just mine.

2. Maybe it's because the government has broken faith with US
by election fraud, corporate racketeering, the cult of secrecy, and the most obvious thing of all, the obvious lack of caring that has led to the post Katrina disaster.

Anybody who trusts THIS government to do the right thing is a fool.

6. True. There are instances where they appear to separate themselves
from taking a true stand on that and giving up their own benefits to help the Katrina victims or help us.

3. How to keep trust:do what you say you will do, take responsibility for...
what you have done.

4. Government and media for the same reasons
They don't care about us, they don't cover us. Not as people. What they care about is power blocks, special interest groups and buying trends. If you don't have an advertising or a lobbyist budget then you aren't even on their minds.

When they abandoned us, we lost faith in them. Why shouldn't we?

10. Yeah, we have to stay awake there
I read just recently that they've confirmed a new member to the board which gives them a repub majority again. It's been vacant since March, 2005, but with it filled again they've got the tie-breaker they need. Time to keep a close eye on them I'd think, odds are they'll try to make use of it.

12. I know. Also, they're buying up the smaller papers and
talking about consolidating power locally. WE so have to get dems elected in 06. AND we have to make sure we're telling people that this whole "DC has moved to the left" is BUNK. We're the avarage people here! DC dems have actually moved more right--towards big business.

11. Nothing Wrong With the VOTERS, It's the VOTING MACHINEZ!
The VOTERS voted for Al Gore in 2000.
The voters voted for John Kerry in 2004, or at least we tried to.

Republican Electing Machinez
