This Straight Guy Sez We Need An Amendment Legalizing Gay Marriage

I have HAD it with the fucking republicans, their hill billy fundy Xtian followers and their fucking
anti-human agenda.

Gay rights are HUMAN rights. It's as simple as that. I don't care what you call it - marriage, civil
unions, whatever - but gay couples should have the same rights as married couples in this
country. As long as they don't, then this entire "democracy" is a fucking sham.

I am sick and tired of these faux-moralists hiding their racism and homophobia behind the
fucking MYTHS that religions provide. What's next? Should we change the plaque on the
Statue of Liberty to say: "Give me your rich, white, Xtian males ...and that's it!"?

Gay people are here. They are real. They are our fellow citizens. Yet, the popular imagined gods of our age
and their imaginary offspring have more say in people's lives today than do the real people who are
living today? And that's assuming that the words of those imaginary gods are being correctly interpreted
(I wouldn't make that assumption). That is absolute bullshit.

Either we give gays the same rights as we straights enjoy...or we get some new gods with a more-human
and -progressive bent.
