Man Arrested Trying To Jump White House Fence
Washington D.C. (AHN) - Roger Witmer, a man trying to jump the White House fence was arrested by the Secret Service while in possession of a suspicious package on Sunday.

Secret Service spokesman Tom Mazur told CNN, the 44-year-old was arrested before he made it over the fence. The incident happened shortly before noon on Sunday when President Bush was on his way to the White House complex at the time.

Witmer will be charged with unlawful entry, disorderly conduct and destruction of government property as he damaged some of the fence as he tried to scale it.

Characterizing the bag as a "suspicious package" the Secret Service said it is still investigating its contents.
