Jeff Gannon's journalism teacher loses Pittsburgh news anchor job
Scott Baker was the anchorman for WTAE News in Pittsburgh.

<snip>
Baker had no comment yesterday, and news director Bob Longo said he could not comment on personnel matters, saying only that Baker is "no longer going to be an anchor with the station." Baker's bio has already been removed from the station's Web site.

<snip>

Baker, who gives seminars on careers in journalism, drew criticism in May 2005 when he wrote an online blog entry titled "I'm the Guy Who Taught Jeff Gannon Everything He Knows About Journalism." Gannon was a conservative online reporter who covered the White House under a pseudonym and resigned after liberal bloggers exhumed embarrassing information about him.

Baker said his online column was intended to be humorous.

On Saturday and Sunday, Baker is set to teach a two-day seminar in Arlington, Va., for the Leadership Institute's Broadcast Journalism School. The school describes itself as "a one-stop, full-service seminar for conservatives who want a career in journalism."

1. Ah..."liberal bloggers exhumed embarrassing information about him."
NO, embarrassing info is that if bloggers found out that he eats his own boogers. No, he was a prostitute with unfettered access to the WH. I'd say that's more than embarrassing, that could be qa hotbed for blackmail. :grr:

3. Not much "exhuming" needed when the subject in question
posted naked pictures of himself specifying the fees required for services rendered.

2. Good riddance to bad garbage
Baker's always been a smug, insufferable prick. Cheers to WTAE for making him go away.

4. And I can't help but point out that Mr. Smug is divorced from his
first wife, the lovely (ha) and very conservative Ruth Ann Dailey (formerly Baker) of the Post-Gazette. Their four children were subject to the heartbreak of a broken home! Their family torn asunder! But never fear - Scott married a former Miss America, or something like that.

Ahh, the sanctity of marriage. :eyes:

5. LOL!
"a one-stop, full-service seminar for conservatives who want a career in journalism." :rofl:

WHO is servicing them at the 'become a fake reporter in one day' seminar? :D
