American Exceptionalism !
We're Americans ! We're exceptional... Whatever we do is right !

We don't torture....... We're Americans !

We don't have to honor nuclear non-proliferation treaties... We're Americans.

We don't have to sign the Kyoto Protocol ..... We're Americans

We don't have to abide by international laws..... We're Americans !

How dare Amnesty International accuse us of violating human rights... dont they know ..............we're Americans?

We can pre-emptively attack any country we want........ we're Americans !

We can bomb and terrorize anyone we want ..........we're Americans !

We haven't terrorized Cuba and killed innocent Cubans..... We're Americans !

For Christ sakes, stop your bitching!... we're Americans!.. exceptional, honest, freedom loving, god fearing, hard working Americans!!!!!!

On a serious note.... I'M SO FUCKING SICK AND TIRED OF OUR NASTY ARROGANT DISGUSTING, SELF-RIGHTEOUS, STUPID, CHILDISH, MURDEROUS WAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. I think it was Jefferson who coined the term "The American Exception"
At the time and for quite a while afterward it stood for something grossly different that it does today- namely that America should be an exception among all nations in its supreme adherence to the rule of law, the rights of man and a whole host of other things that Boosh has chucked out the window after pissing on.

In my opinion the single worst thing Boosh has done, outside of the slauter of over a hundred thousand (maybe more) in the Iraq/Afghanistan wars is to, single-handedly, kill the concept all over the world that, although we have our problems (and we do), that America is somehow a beacon for others to emulate, a party that can be trusted to do the right thing.

He has destroyed so much of what hundreds of years of American culture have brought to the world- like an anti-Midas turning good will into enmity.

Bush has literally destroyed all that America stands for. That is an unforgivable crime considering the countless millions who, in the past, have given their lives to fight evil where it has reared its fanged head.

Now, there is a halcyon time...there is no mechanism, or I should say the mechanism has been disabled or subverted, to remedy this mess easily. Our only guidance, as we find ourselves in a similar position under the yoke, is to turn to the words and feelings of our Founding Fathers and Mothers in a dark time such as this.

2. How Dare You!
:sarcasm:
How dare you question America's wonderful behavior in the world...

How indeed? How not is more like it.

* Why, without us, the whole world would surely devolve into chaos, war and eternal darkness!

Surely?

* How can you even suggest we do any of those things, after all, we given 20% of our entire gross domestic product to foreign aid!!!

evermind that 1/3 of that goes to Israel, and that it's really only about 1/3 of one percent of G.D.P.

* You must be an America-Hater to suggest that America "tortures" anyone, especially anyone "innocent", or any other "bad" behavior in the world--since that would be immoral, and as Christians, we're very moral!

Oh yeah, I forgot, Christian's were the first people to even consider "morals" and "morality"... obviously neither the Greeks (Plato 386 BCE, Aristotle 335BCE) nor any of the other anchient civilizations preceding even the Isrealites ever bothered thinking about such things

* It's continually amazing how you unpatriotic "LIEberals" constantly fail to recognize how truly great our President and his advisers are. They are the true force of Good in the world and would never lead our country astray. If they believe it necessary to remove a terrorist dictator from power in order to protect America and Americans, that's what must be done.

You know, you're right... I keep forgetting that the current occupier of the office of the Presidency is chosen of God and is guided in all his actions by the Creator of the Universe to the benefit of all mankind. Go figure, how could I possibly forget that or otherwise question the good sense and well meaning intentions of such a one? Why the whold world should be on their knees, worshipping him/us. (Well, Bush has been rather successful getting them (and us) on their (our) knees--but not for worship...)

- Ummm... that'd be the All Powerful Christian God...

3. So will we crumble when we get knocked on our ass??
It's coming, and once the facade of our exceptionalism is gone and Americans realize we aren't any better than anyone else, and in fact, we're worse than alot of others - what will happen?
