Big anti-UNION commercial just aired.

Nasty commercial. Anybody hear of this in other parts of the country? I am in SoCal.

Why beat a dead horse?

Unions sadly for the most part are completely dead or rendered powerless to the point in irrelevance.

It is sad but true but america loves Conservative Jackasses they vote them in year after year sadly even by Union members themselves.

Been a member of the teachers' union for years and wouldn't have it any other way.

9. I am in a union, and some of the people I work with are Bush lovers.

When I ask them how in the hell could they support a man who wants to get rid of unions they just shrug their shoulders. During the election if I asked them that question, the answer was, "Because Kerry is a pussy."

I would reply, "So I guess you don't like the medical and dental benefits you have. I guess you don't like earning a fair wage and being compensated for overtime. I guess you don't like the idea of having a pension when you retire..."

"Yeah, but Kerry's a pussy."

5. I tried to explain to a RW relative that if it wasn't for unions

we would all still be working at the ripe age of 9, in sweatshops under horrid conditions for at least 60 hours a week. I guess Rwingers just don't read books or pay attention to recent history.

13. People are incredibly ignorant about their lack of rights in the

workplace.
I am an attorney and represent employees. You'd be surprised at how many people call me, describe a situation, and I have to tell them that what happened is not unlawful. People just don't understand that most employment is at will and the employer can just fire you, demote you, whatever without a reason. They don't understand that a union is your only protection against such arbitrary actions.
