There's no way he's actually going up in the polls. Zero chance.

2. It'll drive some otherwise
disgruntled RW crazies to go vote to "keep Nancy San Francisco Pelosi" from being the leader of congress.

yep. Rove is a shitstick, but he knows what cranks up the cranks.

Hopefully, it won't be enough. My gawd, I hope the dems retake power and THEN ACT LIKE AN OPPOSITION PARTY

If only Cheney and Bush would literally do just that.

5. I don't think so.
It might drive a few fundies to the polls, but not enough to make a significant difference, IMHO. I think the fundies, on the whole, are tired of the Congressional theatrics and want some real results. Maybe they're starting realize that they've been played all along? I sure hope so!

6. First he outlawed demonstrations at Funerals of servicemembers
... by Phelps and his band of freaks and now he pander to them by proposing a marriage ammendment. Me

think he want to sleep with his wife (the Christian Right) and his mistress (Freeptards). No pun

intended of course.

9. First off, I believe the assumptions about this vast block of hard-core
christian voters is just a catch-all smokescreen. I don't believe that this blindly obedient massive christian voting block exists anymore. Yes, there have been elections where the christian voting bloc voted as one, but those days are over. There's too many conflicting issues and information to galvanize such a block. There are also too many discrepancies for said voting christians to consider. For one, is the behavior of bush* and bushco*. If it looks like a christian and acts like a christian, it must be a christian. And more people everyday are coming to the conclusion that bush* and bushco* aren't walking the walk and talking the talk. You would have to be very ignorant to not be aware of the deceit wafting on the air like a bad odor. EVERYONE, whether they believe it or not, is now aware of very serious questions raised about WMD, 9/11 and other reasons for invading Iraq. I believe this is starting to raise serious questions among the faithful.

Some (rovers) say the last demonstration of the christian voting power was 2004, that this galvanizable voting block made the difference in certain races and was the reason for the bush* electoral miracles. I call bullshit. I think 2004 was the dirtiest election in our nation's history and the christian voting bloc was the alibi for fuzzy math and numbers that DID NOT add up.

I know plenty of christians. Good people, devout people. And I for one am here to tell you they aren't swallowing this load again. And I have my doubts that they swallowed it in 2004.
