8. Oh yeah, I'm into bass
... and Jack Bruce was one of the main artists who got me interested. He was one of the first to start playing bass like it was a guitar instead of some kind of drum.

4. It's part of the GREAT PERFORMANCES series
They'll be running it in different outlets through the weekend, I think. Do the old "check local listings" and it should turn up on yer PBS...

10. Crap, it aired here November 30, 2005 and is not scheduled any time soon
Bummer!!! One of my all time favorite groups.

Now I am bummed. :grr:

Oh well, they are selling the DvD, I guess I can just order it. Sounds like a keeper anyway. :)

but after seeing them live in chicago i just could`t finish listening...they were fucking amazing live....

oh by the way ginger baker was one of the best drummers of that era. his drum solo during that concert was nothing like i have ever heard since. it`s a shame that his addiction took so much away from him

24. Hey, the bass I bought in '68 was a Gibson EB-3
Cherry starburst w/black.

Because Jack Bruce had one.

Played it through an Ampeg B-15N "flip top" tube amp.

Sadly, it did not come with his talent.

And what little I had is now long long gone.
