Call for a Congressional Investigation
If Republicans try to do investigations of people who make reports that show evidence of global warming and reports that show kids who are coddled become Conservative, then we need to call for an investigation as to WHY the GOP is bringing up the Federal Marriage Amendment and if this is inducing a moral panic.

They do it for stupid stuff.

Let's do it to stop a moral panic during an election year.

Who's in?

1. Not "Moral Panic", but something else
Ever since I heard that * was bringing up this old tired bone (Gay Marriage) again I have had the same thought; "What's new?"

In other words, his raising this issue again shows something that the Dems have long been accused of by the MSM: No new ideas.

I have heard a lot of Dems, here and on the talk shows, say that the reason why * is bring this up is to "energize his base" and/or "distract from Iraq, his falling poll numbers", etc.

What if instead we combined the the two and simply said; "This shows that the GOP has has run out of ideas".

As for a Congressional investigation, first, for that you need to have control of the committee. We don't,they do. Second, using the powers on Congress to investigate why a political party chooses to raise an issue is wrong. Congressional investigations should be used to look into problems/wrongs and then propose laws/actions as a result. What would be the result of you're proposed investigation - A law limiting political action???????

Nope, it's enough to use the fact that they brought this up now, with all the problems we have, to show that the GOP is in fact the "Party of Irrelevance".

3. Let me explain further
I'm saying just to call for an investigation, we do not actually need one right now.

The GOP is pushing us around, and this act by itself will give them a strong shove back.

4. Be careful of what you wish for
If you call for one (into political motivations), and win control, then you have to be prepared to carry through. Otherwise, you're a "flip-flopper".

In my opinion. one can QUESTION their motives, but INVESTIGATE them, no.

Do you really want the government to be able to INVESTIGATE your political motives?
