Stalinism With A Smiling Face

The second that you hear someone denounce someone else's politics or beliefs as "an illness", you can be sure you're in the presence of a totalitarian thinker. Ann Coulter begs you to not take her seriously, and most don't; she is a pundit-agent provocateur par excellence. She does that to make lots of money. But don't kid yourself. The lucrative fountain of her wit is a black heart. She's Stalin's daughter if there ever was one. Her condemnation of half the country's politics as "an illness" summons up Soviet gulags, psychiatric prisons, and Maoist re-education camps, where millions of decent citizens were "cured" of their political illness, most of them never to be seen again. Like her Soviet and Chinese mentors, she is an intolerant political reductionist, fearful of change, relying on the rhetoric of simplicity: We are well, you are sick. God help us if some crafty politician ever rises to the presidency by standing on a stack of books such as this.

Very sick and very disturbing and a very childish argument on the whole. This is nothing new though. Ms. Coulter seems to thrive on spewing forth her feelings but always fails to back them up with facts to prove she is right. Also, I don't mind that she states a position, yet she constantly undermines those that take positions contrary to hers. The worst thing of all is the lack of factual documentation. If she does provide documentation, she twists it into what she wants it to mean. That just breaks every rule in literature and is disturbing.

She does not argue with facts. She really just seems to become a child in her books, putting her fingers in her ears and loudly crying Nyah Nyah Nyah so she cannot hear other viewpoints or opinions or truths.

For once, I would like to see her produce a book that offered a mature, intelligent, honest and fact based debate. I expect that level of standard from anyone.

As usual this totally misguided fascist woman attacks the left as if we are some brutal evil enemy. I feel sorry for someone with a lack of IQ writing such hatred. For those who support her and give her five stars in the review that is shameful. A liberal America has always had values and a strong economy and been admired globally. A conservative America creates a path of destruction and lines its own pockets. It has lost all respect in the world. I wonder did she borrow stuff from Mein Kampf to put in her book. She would have been great in the Nazi party or North Korean Communist party for her ranting in this book!
