Will Dobbs invite Ann Coulter back on to call Dem's traitors again tonight?
http://mediamatters.org/items/200511280010

Why does CNN continue to host Ann Coulter?

One day after Ann Coulter wrote a column examining Rep. John P. Murtha's (D-PA) proposal to end military engagement in Iraq, she appeared on the November 25 edition of CNN's Lou Dobbs Tonight to comment on it. In her November 24 syndicated column, she claimed, "There is no plausible explanation for the Democrats' behavior other than that they long to see U.S. troops shot, humiliated, and driven from the field of battle." She also falsely claimed that Saddam Hussein sought "enriched uranium from Niger."

Coulter concluded the November 24 column with the following analysis of "Democrats' behavior":

The Democrats are giving aid and comfort to the enemy for no purpose other than giving aid and comfort to the enemy. There is no plausible explanation for the Democrats' behavior other than that they long to see U.S. troops shot, humiliated, and driven from the field of battle.

They fill the airwaves with treason, but when called to vote on withdrawing troops, disavow their own public statements. These people are not only traitors, they are gutless traitors.

In her Lou Dobbs Tonight appearance (which was guest-hosted by correspondent Christine Romans), Coulter said: "I'm not only tired of the Democrats, I'm tired of anyone to the left of Jean Schmidt {R-OH} at this point." In a November 18 speech in the floor of the House on a Republican resolution to immediately withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq -- a resolution that followed a withdrawal plan proposed by Murtha -- Schmidt stated that an Ohio politician wanted "to send Congressman Murtha a message: that cowards cut and run, Marines never do." That politician, Danny Bubp, now denies ever saying that.

3. The real question is whether Tweety gave her a jingle
She hasn't been on his show for quite some time now. Maybe he's forgiven her for shouting lies.

I don't recall the specifics, but he was pissed and came right back at her. She was clearly shocked that Matthews would not allow her to run amok with her mouth. It was a sight to see!!! After the commercial break, she was suddenly absent...not to be seen or heard from again.

Plus, Matthews really admires Kristen Breitweiser (sp) and the Jersey Girls. He may have Kristen on for a response.

4. I Hope So
She? is ugly, mean, and repulsive.

Everytime the corporate 'news' media puts her? on TV, I'm glad ... Let her's? be the face of radical Republicanism.

(Of course, I cannot stand her? ... so I don't watch.)

6. I think she is a whore for her book. She will say anything to get
attention and buy her stuff so she can make money. If people stopped fighting over what she said and remembered that she is a stupid little untalented writer then maybe she would just go away. She reminds me of O'Reily. He is a f***ing jerk but he gets a lot of attention and that translates into money.

Remember: "The best publicity is no publicity."

That being said she is so off the wall she probably is doing harm to conservatives just by opening her mouth.

...expouse her hate. Its best not to forget these things for future reference.

17. Alan Colmes asked her about this last night
and she said she was a NY resident, and did not try to vote illegally, and that it is all LIES, I tell you, LIES! He asked her if she were denying trying to vote in Florida and she accused him of buying the LIES about her.

She actually looked uncomfortable, until Hannity asked her about who she really was; it was a beautiful moment. The woman who called the 9/11 widows selfish broads and said that one should kill all ARab leaders and convert their people said that she is a Christian, a real one, and that all of her beliefs come from that.

That ended the segment - I could not even be outraged, it was so absurd. Their side is losing, big time, and desperate.

12. Wow, Ann is showing unbelivable ignorance here.
"The Democrats are giving aid and comfort to the enemy for no purpose other than giving aid and comfort to the enemy."

The Bush family installed Saddam as Iraq's president, not to mention they are big supporters of the Nazi party (in the past anyways) and they're big supporters of militant anti-Castro groups. So who's giving aid and comfort to the enemy, again?

"There is no plausible explanation for the Democrats' behavior other than that they long to see U.S. troops shot, humiliated, and driven from the field of battle."

Um, no. We're pissed that our troops are getting cut down like weeds because they lack the proper armor on their vehicles and persons so Halliburton can make a few extra bucks and continue to get those lucrative, no-bid government contracts.

"They fill the airwaves with treason, but when called to vote on withdrawing troops, disavow their own public statements."

The Republicans own all three major networks. Not to mention the insanely wealthy ones are buying newspapers left and right, and when the few libs who do go on such shows as Hannity and Colmes, they get treated like second class citizens because Hannity yells at them for not falling in the party line and doing what they're told. So who is filling the airwaves with treason again?

Oh well, it's not like Ann is someone who people turn to for truth and information anyways.

13. Note that Dobbs didn't do the interview.
He wasn't even on the show when they had the she-man. Little Christine Romans did the interview and she gave the big woman with large adam's apple a pass on just about everything. I think Dobbs was forced to have the fake Jane on his show. That was before his ratings went through the roof. I think he has more control over the show now.

15. Dobbs resigned once over not wanting to cover a live Clinton speech
http://www.mediaresearch.org/cyberalerts/1999/cyb19990609.asp#3

Lou Dobbs gone from CNN. Forced out by CNN President Rick Kaplan, or just frustrated by him? In a surprise announcement at the end of Tuesday’s The World Today, anchor Jim Moret informed viewers:

"And finally tonight, farewell to a colleague. Lou Dobbs, President of CNNfn and anchor of Moneyline, is resigning to launch a new Internet venture. Dobbs said he is ‘grateful to Ted Turner and CNN News Group Chairman Tom Johnson for the opportunity to have helped build CNN and cnn.com into a first-class television news and interactive institution.’ Lou Dobbs had been with CNN since its inception 19 years ago. He will start up space.com, a Web site for news, entertainment and educational content about space."

No mention of Kaplan and an on-air dispute the two had a couple of weeks ago about whether to carry live a Clinton speech may explain why. As Clay Waters of Bridge News first informed me, the May 25 Page Six column in the New York Post revealed:

Dobbs' on-air blast at CNN chief

The rivalry between CNN President Rick Kaplan and CNN.fn boss and Moneyline host Lou Dobbs reached critical mass last week, when Dobbs challenged Kaplan's news savvy on the air during his top-rated business show. The brouhaha erupted last Thursday, when a Dobbs producer was ordered by Kaplan to cut away from Moneyline for live coverage of President Clinton's address at Columbine HS in Littleton, Co. Dobbs, who didn't consider the staged event breaking news, "was absolutely livid," says an insider. So livid, in fact, he ordered his producer to cut back to Moneyline. Kaplan -- a Clinton golf buddy -- immediately countered with an order to go back to Colorado. The tug-of-war ended with a visibly peeved Dobbs telling his audience they were returning to Columbine because "CNN President Rick Kaplan wants us to." Dobbs' comments were edited out of CNN's transcript of the show. "It was a real blowout," a source told PAGE SIX.
