How can NBC justify airing Coulter to promote her hate filled book?
Finding a lying, slandering, fascist prick is not hard. There is one in almost every town in America. The difference is NBC has decided that Ann Coulter's views are mainstream and worthy of debate. Why?

How can they differentiate her hate-filled slander from that of let's say David Duke or the head of the Aryan Nation? Don't forget that The Today show wasn't reporting on Coulter's outrageous comments, they were helping to promote the book that contains them. If they feel that the book was newsworthy, why not sit down with other bigoted, racist authors that have books out?

I believe the outrage shouldn't be so much focused on Coulter. She is just the street walker in this incident. The outrage should be reserved for NBC and The Today Show for being her pimps. They decided to promote her book and Lauer even commented how "fun" it was to have her on TV with him! Bastards!

She could have made her comment about 9/11 widows on Fox and no one would care. To have those comments explored on Today will marginalize her into irrelevancy. She should have tried to look good (she didn't) be funny (she wasn't), and be patient with criticism (she wouldn't know where to start).

13. NBC...
is running low on comedies for Must-See TV Thursdays...so I guess they figured Ann the man is worthy of laughs...well she is pathetically amusing in the sense every time she opens her vile mouth, she comes across as a complete idiot that she's naturally is...

14. Totally agree, many people that may have heard about her
but never really knew how vile she is, found out on the Today Show. This puts her exactly right up there with the David Dukes of the world. She has not been "discovered", she has been "uncovered" for all the world to see.

17. Marginalize her to irrelevance?
Shirley, you jest. Her scrawny, homely, silicon-infused self will be a media fixture for years to come. Anyone who whores for the GOP is guaranteed a long career.

3. This is not the NBC of yore - this is GE's NBCs now, and Russert, Matthews
Couric and Lauer serve the same fascist agenda that Coulter serves.

What you won't see is a 20 minute in-depth report on voting machine fraud and WHO controls the machines.

5. Exactly. The question is "How can GE justify it?"
And put that way, the question answers itself.

6. That's why the media is so broken
Some right wing freak comes out with nothing more than slander and lies, and the media still says "lets hear their case and what they have to say".

Nothing wrong with that in principle, but then when they bring the bigot on, the media decides that it is not their job to call out false claims and lies, or to even factcheck.

7. Because they don't want to accused of being the "Liberal Media"
This is what now passes for balance. There's Coulter and she is balanced with no Coulter.

8. Two reasons: Jack Welch, and Ratings
Shills and whores. And I'm talking about management, here, not that nitwit who happily delivers what they ask for.

When you see her, vote with your remote. If you must complain to the media outlet, tell them you saw that they had that hate-filled HarridAnn on the program, so you switched to (some other station NOT affiliated with the GE/NBC empire).

10. I'm more taken back by Time magazine's decision to put her on the cover
That deserves a huge :wtf:

As far as NBC's morning show goes. For a show that enjoys fluff, they do enjoy their Coulter. (Isn't this her second appearance in under a year?)

Who's her book publisher? Perhaps there's a connection.

11. I am so sick of that stringy-haired coked-up bitch being fawned over.
Screw her/he/it and the freakin' broom she rode in on.

She is nothing but a vile, venemous waste of skin and bones. I doubt even a low life whoremaster like Hannity could get it on with her, as much as he likes to sniff her seat when she/he/its on his show.

15. She is not a conservative she is simply a psychotic.
Those that interview her as though she is an indiviudal who had opinions or thoughts that should be carefully debated, only appear more foolish than she.

20. Gosh, you'd think even the hard RW would see what a joke she /he/it is.
Edited on Wed Jun-07-06 03:43 PM by Lastlaughin08
Tell me, how could anyone take her rantings and stupid books as something worthwhile?

You'd think the RW would want nothing to do with her/him/it.

18. Because the MSM is and always HAS been, right-wing.
If the MSM were NOT right-wing, we would see Randi Rhodes on TV as often as we see Ann Coulter and we USED to see Larry Klayman when he was on the right-wing's side.

It is ONLY because the MSM is intrinsically right-wing that Ilse Bundt-types like Coulter are given any face time at all.
